2010This Mama Loves Her iPhone 4.
I got my new baby, Welcome Home iPhone 4!
Yes folks, a few weeks ago, I decided that I was going to make the upgrade to the iPhone 4 and in a spontaneous whim ended up obtaining one in less than 3 days. I’m pretty persistent and I gets what I wants.
Especially considering that I was 300th on the waiting list. LOL.
I must say that I absolutely adore it! I had been obsessing over it since the concept designs hit the web and when I had upgraded to the IOS 4 for the 3G it was terribly laggy and all the apps crashed so you know, the upgrade HAD to be done, right? *wink*
Well, that’s what I told Hubby but in fact, he wanted it more than I did. Perhaps that’s an understatement.
So, what is so cool about the iPhone 4? The most obvious for me is the high-resolution retina display. I put my old iPhone and my new one side by side and you can see a major difference. Apple has managed to get the pixel display down to 73 micro-metres wide. Yes MICRO. The colors are vibrant and the camera picture quality is amazing.
It is a 5 mega-pixel and 5X digital zoom. It has HDR Photography where the camera will take 3 shots of the same picture and then mesh them together and feature the best features of all 3. Gotta love flash too! You can also tap to focus on any part of the picture that you want to capture.
One of the coolest attributes of the phone is its screen. It’s made from the same materials that trains and helicopters use and is chemically treated so it is harder, oil resistant and scratch resistant.
You really don’t need a screen protector, I went to purchase one and the sales guy told me I didn’t need one. He proceeded to take out his iPhone 4, take out his car keys and with force began to scratch his screen. I was thinking, this guy is CRAAAAZY but, he wiped the screen and not ONE scratch! I still bought one though and I bought this retro case for it too!
Now one of the features I love the most is FaceTime, it allows iPhone users to make video calling. You can see each other while having a conversation and you can show the other person what you are seeing as well. The phone has two cameras so that you can take self-portraits. It’s perfect for me as a mom especially when Hubby is at work and he can call and see his girls and me of course!
Amongst the infinitum features of the iPhone 4, I love how you can customize and create folders, you can multi-task while you are browsing the net simply by double-clicking the home button or multi-task while using the iPod. You can access many features on your iPod with Voice Control.
Nifty.
You can add a background image to your home screen which is awesome. During emails, you can connect an actual wireless keyboard if you prefer to type with that, its Bluetooth technology allows you to.
That’s just nuts.
The iPhone 4 is highly accessible for the visually impaired, find the features here.
So yes, I’m totally digging my new iPhone. As much as I see really cool phones out on the market, I will never own anything BUT an iPhone.
It helps me to track my nutrition, my exercise and fitness, to monitor my carbon-footprint, it wakes me up in the morning, allows me to distract my baby with numerous flash cards and baby apps, keep my 6 year-old busy with TONS of games and educational apps, read and reply to all 7 of my email accounts, browse the internet, stay connected with an array of social media apps, edit photos and connect and upload to Flickr or Photobucket and most importantly I can blog from my phone.
It pretty much is my little PC when I don’t have my netbook or I’m not at home on my PC. I can play games, talk, text and video call… Browse the net, buy things on eBay.
Ahh, I just love it.
I haven’t had any dropped calls or antenna issues. Apple has a bumper case iPhone 4 program where they will provide you with a free iPhone case, up until the end of September.
I’m really just grazing the vast capabilities of the iPhone, here’s a video.

Anyway, I’m totally a #TeamiPhone kinda gal and yes, I totally just hashtagged unnecessarily. So, what phone do you absolutely stand by?
Are you on the BlackBerry team, Sony Ericsson, Droid? How much do you depend on it as a mom or do you refuse to even use a phone? Let me know!
Til then, cheers m’deres!
