15 Perfect BBQ Cook-Out Recipes!
I don’t know about you but, Spring and Summer is grilling season. There is nothing like smelling delicious meats cooking in the air and certainly absolutely nothing like getting your family and friends together to feast. That is why we adore having cook-outs and you can bet that every cook-out has something for everyone. Whether you provide all the mains and fixin’s or if you prefer a potluck type of cook out, you are covered!
There are staples to every successful cook-out. They are juicy, succulent meats and vegetables, delectable sides, refreshing drinks and satisfying desserts to end a perfect meal. Our family loves coming together at least once a week during grilling season.
We gather to share a meal but, we all take part somehow. Usually, one of us foots the bill and we take turns on this, of course! After everything is bought, we all prep and cook the meal together. I guess you can say that everyone has a job, whether it’s chopping ingredients for the potato salad or marinating the meat to be grilled, we all work for our meals!
Once everything is prepared, it is time to feast! There is usually tons of food so, we usually invite friends to indulge! Do you know what’s awesome about a cook-out? The abundance of delicious food and the leftovers to take home with you! Yes, we provide doggy bags to go!
So, bring your appetite!
As you can see pictured above, I’ve put together my 15 Perfect Cook-Out Recipes collection on Foodie.com. Take a moment to look through it and see if you agree! I chose a little bit of everything but, definitely recipes that are musts and the backbone of any delicious and successful cook-out.
You simply cannot go wrong with grilled corn-on-the-cob, steak, pulled pork, ribs, chicken and shrimp! With sides like potato salad, coleslaw, grilled potatoes on the bbq and more, you will be in cook-out heaven. If you’re not into the grilled meats and prefer a much more American take on BBQ, you can always have an All-American burger or Detroit-inspired Coney Dog.
Of course with a good meal, you definitely build up a mighty thirst. I think any cook-out BBQ needs old-fashioned Southern Sweet Tea and since I am a huge SodaStream fan, you can’t go wrong with the endless possibilities of fresh fruit-infused drinks. I ended it with a delicious Southern Banana Pudding.
While the sky is the limit in the foodie world, I think this gives you a great start.
What is your favorite food to bring to a cook-out?
Let me know, til then–cheers m’deres!
