I’ve always loved to have long, long hair. But, the maintenance that goes with it can be daunting. Just last year, I cut my waist-long hair to my shoulders. While it is healthier, more manageable and so much lighter–I miss my long hair.
Luckily, I had the chance to try out Irresistible Me hair extensions. Made from 100% Remy human hair and at a great price, I was able to go from shoulder-length hair to past-my-waist hair! Not to mention, they had my exact color and with the extensions, you are able to wash, heat-style, cut and color to blend them into your hair perfectly.
Finding Your Shade.
I haven’t dyed my hair in years so, my color is natural black. Finding my color was super simple, I took a few minutes to watch this video and then I checked out this PIN to determine the length that I wanted. Of course, I wanted the absolutely longest possible!
Once the extensions arrive and you open your package, you will notice the wefts carefully packaged in a plastic bag with two sections. The smaller section contains a sample weft that you should open first. It’s to make sure the color, length and general hair quality is what you want. If everything is up to your expectations, you can open the bigger section with the rest of the wefts.
If you do decide you want to exchange or return them, just leave the second section unopened and sealed, if you don’t, the guarantee will be void and you won’t be able to make the exchange or get a refund.
Length and Volume.
One of the main reasons that I’ve always wanted to try extensions is because while my hair is full and thick, it lacks volume. The type of extensions that I received were the Silky Touch Natural Black in 24 inches and 200 grams. The thickness of the hair decreases slightly towards the ends just like normal hair does which, I think, makes them look natural.
Flat and Dull.
This is me before adding the Irresistible Me hair extensions. My hair tends to be flat and lacks that oomph and volume that I really crave.
I had date night coming up and I wanted to get a dolled up and sporting long and voluminous hair is always awesome. Each set is composed of 10, 8 or 7 pieces of different widths depending on the weight you choose, purposely adapted to cover your head all around.
Fabulous! They are fairly easy to apply and the clips adhere to your scalp really well. The different sizes make it simple to add volume to every part of your hair. That way it is even and proportional. What I did was section my hair and apply them after teasing my hair.
Do I really need extensions?
Well, I am sure you have fabulous hair but, if you want even more full and voluminous hair–you need these. They are great for special occasions and whenever you’re just feeling it. Some use them every day, others don’t!
Are they heavy?
I had the longest available and they are 200 grams of hair. You do feel a bit of weight but, it isn’t something that is bothersome. If you’ve had long hair before, it feels just like that.
Do they look natural?
If you can see in the pictures, you wouldn’t know I was wearing them if I hadn’t told you, right? They are very natural, match your hair and can be styled just like your own hair.
Do they hurt?
You can feel them on your scalp, the longer you wear them–you’ll forget about them. But, I think that you need to be sure to pin them properly. If you don’t you may have a bit of pain from an incorrectly placed clip. That’s with any clip though. But, no. Not painful!
These are perfect for those who want volume, bounce and thickness in their hair. You can choose a lot or a little, the thickness of the hair is relative to both the weight and the length you choose: a 14 inch 200g piece will look thicker than 14″ 100g, so keep that balance in mind.
That’s why there are the following weight options:
14’’ and 16’’ – 100g, 140g or 200g
18’’ – 140g or 200g
20’’, 22’’ and 24’’ – 200g
The hair extensions can start from $49 and up depending on what type and length you choose. For more information, make sure to visit www.irresistableme.com to find the perfect extensions for you. Get social with them and follow them on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
