Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X!
When it comes to hair removal, you want the method that has the best results. While I have my favorite razors that I use religiously in my beauty routine, I’ve been jonesing to try out laser hair removal to minimize hair growth.
The thing is, laser hair removal at a spa can get pricey. I find the older that I get, the more pronounced my hair gets. Especially in the under arm and facial area. I find the older I get, I get more in-grown hairs too. Especially my legs. When I had the chance to try laser hair removal at home, I was stoked. I’ll be completely honest, I have heard rave reviews about this device too. So, that made me even more excited to try it out myself.
Bye, Bye Hairs!
The Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X is the only hair removal laser that has been approved by the FDA for use at home. It is available in seven different colors, so you can pick the one that best fits your wants, needs and style.
The Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X was designed using the diode laser technology that is used by many dermatologists. This technology permanently stops the growth of hair on your face and body. The laser will focus on the pigment of the hair follicle, which will disable the hair follicle. Once the hair follicle is disabled, it will no longer be able to grow.
This hair removal laser is quite powerful and it has an interactive LED display that assists you through each treatment easily. The battery on this device will last for thirty minutes at a time, so it can be used on any body part.
Starting Treatment is Easy!
The Tria device is always locked for safety. When you turn it on, it is in locked mode. You simply put the sensor underneath and it will sense your skin and unlock.
I have used this in 2 week intervals for the last 6 weeks and I started with my legs! Using the Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X is quite simple. First you must prep your skin by cleansing, shaving and drying off. Next, you will need to choose a treatment level and then begin working on one area of the body. Each part of the body will need a treatment every two weeks until the hair stops growing completely.
TIP: Start off at Level 1 if you are really sensitive. I found that Level 3 is pretty comfortable and Level 5, while effective, can be a bit painful. But, it’s expected, right?
To begin treatment, all you need to do is point the device to your skin and hold until you hear 2 beeps. Continue to reposition the Tria so that it slightly overlaps the previous treatment area. If you are familiar with Venn diagrams, it is exactly what you need to do on your skin. I have kids, so I know the diagram well.
This overlapping technique will make sure that all hair follicles are covered and are getting treated. Tria has a recommended pulse count for each area for the best results. You can check their chart to get a better idea of how many pulses you will need per surface area, here.
The Tria also has a handy pulse counter right on the top display so you can keep track of how many pulses you already did. Treating my lower legs required 600 pulses and my underarms about 100 pulses. It may sound like a high number but, treating both legs took less than 20 minutes and my underarms less.
Hair on legs have not changed, I do feel a tingly almost sting-y feeling after treatment. But, it faded after a few hours. Nothing visibly different in the duration of two weeks since treatment.
Definitely noticed a difference in my underarm hair. It appears to be thinning and I’m pretty sure it takes longer to come in. The ingrown hairs in my legs have improved (a lot still there) and I am getting some patches where hair is not growing back. Pretty stoked to start seeing some results. Going to keep, keeping on!
Underarms have improved! Legs have as well. Going to up my pulse level to see if there is more improvement.
Underarm hairs are thinned out a bit more, y’all and legs are smoother. I am committed to this! I will start my upper-lip soon and I have a feeling, I will love the results! But, kind of scared to be honest. The Tria has worked so far for me and I have high hopes that it will continue to produce results if I remain consistent. I know that with any laser treatment, I will require touch-ups but I am looking forward to seeing more long-term results to see if it lasts. As much as I don’t like shaving, it produces great results and hopefully the Tria will produce ones that last. Time will tell!
Is it Worth It?
Having the ability to use a product as effective as this in the comfort of your home is absolutely wonderful. You can now remove unwanted hair without spending thousands of dollars at doctors’ offices for the same results. I have looked into it before and it’s very pricey and requires a lot of time. The Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X retails for $555.
Having had consultations, it can start off with an initial one-time fee and then depending on body part, it can start at $40 per session with each surface area requiring up to 6 treatments or more. That’s just for the upper lip! They can’t tell you how many sessions you’ll need as they cannot predict how your hair follicles will react. Could be more or could be less but, in the end, I think the Tria is worth every penny because it saves you big in the long run. You just need to be consistent until you achieve your desired results.
For me, only time will tell if this was a permanent solution but, as far as results in the last 2 months, it’s been looking positive. Will, let you know!
