Another Blessed Thanksgiving.
Every year we are thankful for all our blessings and we drink good wine, eat delicious food to our heart’s content and we enjoy the company of our loved ones.
My daily motto is that we are all too blessed to be stressed.
Simple as that.
I’m thankful to have good health, to have my loved ones in good health. A roof over my head, food in abundance and both my husband and I have jobs to provide the stability to live a comfortable life.
Because lest we forget, there are far too many people left without the bare necessities on a daily basis.
And I’m not just talking third-world countries folks, there are people right in your backyards that go without.
I am also blessed with the gift to be a mother to two little girls that mean everything to me. I know there are ladies out there that would give the world to bear the title of “mommy” but don’t have the physical ability to do so.
I’m also graced with THE most amazing man who loves me for me. With all my virtues and also with all my flaws.
So, I make it a point to be thankful every single day for everything I have and even for the days when I feel I am without. Those days make me ever more conscious that life is precious and that time is fleeting. Not to mention that life is full of obstacles and it’s up to us to break them down and make it through in one piece.
I am positive to the point of causing nausea to most. LOL. Being negative by choice gets you nowhere. Believe me, it’s an attitude that has been learned through the years and one that I will never go back to.
I also make it a point to teach Gabs the value of things, it is so überly important. The last thing I want is to teach her is that everything in life is dispensable, because they aren’t.
Life is too precious to be anything BUT positive, even though at times it is hard to do so.
Find the strength because every problem HAS a solution.
I’ve spent it with family and our children. Eating, sharing laughs and stories and enjoying time together. Really no different from any other day but just as enjoyable.
Hubby and I went on our weekly date night and the rest of the time we’ve been eating our favorite food and spending time with our fam. We even took Gabs to ‘Build a Bear’ and she brought home Buttercup the bear, one that says “I love you” incessantly and Gabs new BFF. She’s been a big part of our weekend too. LOL!
Frankly, I’m not exactly sure how or where Thanksgiving originated from but, I do know that it’s a time when we can spend it in great company.
So, good tidings and drink, eat and be merry! Happy Thanksgiving my fellow Canucks!
And remember, when you’re having a bad day, you truly are too blessed to be stressed! Just take a little time out to analyze it and you will soon see!
What are you grateful for and how did you spend your Thanksgiving weekend? Did you enjoy your turkey dinner? My American peeps, yours is coming up too, so same question! 😉 Speaking of American Thanksgiving, I can’t wait for Black Friday, shop, shop-shopping galore! Well, I’d love to hear from you guys!
Til then, cheers m’deres!
