Happy Father’s Day!
Tomorrow is Father’s Day and what do I give the most amazing, caring husband and father?
He says he doesn’t want a thing and doesn’t expect it. But, just because we are young doesn’t mean that we don’t work just as hard as any other parent. I think most times even harder.
So, I’m going to give him whatever his heart desires.
Either way, I want to thank him for the continued support. He made our last pregnancy beautiful, labour & delivery a breeze and an unforgettable memory. He has been nothing but help with Mimi & Gabs on a daily and continuous basis. Our schedule WORKS because of his help and he is not only provider but is highly active in parenting both our girls.
He’s provided us with a beautiful home, cars etc. All the material things but most importantly love, support, care and on top of that the patience of a saint.
I love him eternally.
Anyway, Hubby, Mimi & I went out for a beautiful lunch, while Gabs spent the afternoon with her grandparents. Then we had a supper at the park by the river during sunset. We topped it off with a dessert of Hubby’s choice and ended up at Marble Slab. We laughed, we played and we enjoyed each other’s company. We ventured downtown and then headed home. It was a fun, beautiful and busy day. Not to mention high-calorie haha!
But, it’s all good.
To all the fathers out there, including my own. I wish you the Happiest of all Father’s Days. For those who say that Father’s Day is every day are probably those who don’t get pampered on this day. I think it is every day but it won’t kill you to show them true appreciation on one day! So make them feel special too.
There is the saying that any man can become a father, but it takes someone really special to be a dad. This statement can not be any more correct. It is easy to father a child but it’s not easy to be a good father to a child. So I commend all those fathers that do so and all the single moms out there assuming both parental roles.
A little update!
Mimi is rolling and she cackled today for the first time! Like a full-out, belly laugh! It was adorable! I managed to catch it on video and of course, it was her big sister who made her laugh. She’s a good sleeper and is doing so well. She’s a happy baby and ever since she was born we were able to go out and do what we had to do and she’s never bothered. As long as she’s fed, she’s happy. She’s gained a lot of weight thanks to her healthy appetite of my breast milk. She’s been a total natural nurser and never made me sore, I lucked out this time around!
So, life is moving along swimmingly. Seamlessly. I’ve never, ever, felt so complete in my life. I owe it all to my partner, best friend and husband, my girls and the huge pillars of support my family & BFF’s are.
Anyway, there is a little less than 10 days til Gabby is officially on Summer break, give or take and I must say…
I’M TOTALLY STOKED!!!
I am ready to travel, play and enjoy this summer! What do you guys have in store for this summer? I have a few tips on how to survive the summer months with your kiddies coming soon!
Well, til then! Cheers!
And, Happy Father’s Day once again.
