It’s that time again!
Loose Button Luxe Box Fall Edition 2012!
What’s even more exciting is that not only is it the first box of fall but, it’s Loose Button’s very first World Tour USA edition Luxe Box! Yes, you read right. They are expanding and I am super stoked they asked me to review this box!
GIVE ME MY LUXE BOX!
Let’s Get Into It!
Loving it.
As always, Loose Button never disappoints with their presentation and as you can see the box looks different from their minimalistic black and white box that you’re used to! This is a more narrow box and it’s in a cream and brown interior with gold branding.
Gorgeous box!
As always, they pay attention to detail and the card comes with a monogrammed letter for your name. What’s also different is they wrap the goodies in a silky handkerchief opposed to the cute paper lining. What’s cool about that is that you can reuse that cloth for whatever you may like!
Cute huh?
If you aren’t familiar with Loose Button and their Luxe Boxes, they are a quarterly subscription where you pay $26 every 3 months and your box with 7-8 deluxe sized samples arrives at your door quarterly. I’ve been trying Loose Button for a very long time and what I love about them is that you can really sample products before you take the plunge and potentially purchase a product you may not necessarily end up liking.
Onto the GOODIES!
Loose Button: Exfolliating Pad
First up is an exfoliating pad from Loose Button, if you’re not one for exfoliating pads–I’d say give it a try. Especially for those of you who love to go tanning, I’d think this would be a great bet before you go.
With fall and winter, you just NEED exfoliation.
I love scrubs but, I must say this was very refreshing to use. It has an elastic band in the back for easy use and I enjoyed using it.
Moroccan Oil: Luminous Hair Spray
This is a great size sample, much larger than most travel sizes and I must say–I rather enjoyed it. I’m very picky about hair spray and I use it everyday. While I prefer non-aerosols, I’m picky about the smell of hair sprays.
This one smells divine and holds really well. Luminous Hairspray is formulated with a combination of highly sophisticated ingredients infused with argan oil. It’s lightweight but, make sure you spray 10 inches (25 centimeters) from hair or you will have crusty looking hair with a residue. It’s a good hold but, you still have movement and can brush it out if you need to.

Sally Hansen: Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips
I’ve only heard great things about these strips and my sister Susana who loves doing nail art can confirm (you can follow her on IG for designs @susana_p) but, I have to tell you dahlings–they didn’t work for me.
Or her for that matter.
No matter what we did to try to get some kind of adhesive from these strips we came up empty handed. Literally. But, it did come with a cuticle stick, mini file and buffer and 16 strips that fits all nails. The color is Glitz Blitz.
I’m not sure if we got a defective batch because I know that they do work and people swear by them but, no luck here.

Calvin Klein Beauty: Perfume and Lotion
This is definitely my kind of scent, it’s sweet and that’s what I love in scents. Though it’s more elegantly placed and you can smell a bit of floral in it as it does have some form of lilies in it and maybe some jasmine but– IT. IS. DIVINE.
I will definitely be buying this fragrance now that I’ve tried it and the luminous lotion that it came with smells just as good. Though I find that it is a bit stronger than the scent itself, it leaves your hands and skin moisturized and it’s a non greasy lotion. Gets absorbed quickly and eventually the scent softens up, very happy with this CK fragrance and I highly recommend it.
ARV $50-85
Guerlain La Petite Robe
This fragrance isn’t one that I was very excited about, it’s a muskier scent which I find to be of a more mature preference. My mother loved it so I gifted it to her and it also came with a $15 rebate when you spend over $100. I think it’s the mix of berries, almonds, licorice and smoky black tea that doesn’t sit too well with me. While the scent softens after you wear it, it’s definitely not a scent that I would wear.
ARV $90.00
Lancôme: Defencils Mascara
Since I first tried Lancôme mascara in the Special Lancôme Edition Loose Button Luxe Boxes, I have to say they are in my number one section in mascaras. I love their scent, how smooth they glide on and don’t clump my lashes. I especially love how they give you that full false lash look without having to use false lashes. This one is no different and works AMAZING! Compared to the Doll Eyes, it’s a more defined look and can be used everyday!
Worth every penny!

Philosophy Hope in a Jar
A cult favorite and before I’ve had the chance to try it, I’ve only heard rave reviews. Well, it’s 99.9% oil-free, deeply hydrating, lightweight wonder designed to smooth the complexion while reducing the appearance of wrinkles and discoloration. Originally created for the medical market, this expert essential delivers soft, healthy, glowing results. No GMO’s, synthetic fragrances or dyes, Phthalates, Triclosan or sulfates.
I applied it to my face after getting out of the shower and it left it so moisturized it’s not greasy and is absorbed quickly. I, too, can rave that Hope in a Jar is fabulous and I definitely will be using it again.
The one thing I can say though, is as it’s not fragranced–don’t expect it. It has a very natural smelling scent that fades with time.
ARV $52-110
