Zesty Mac and Cheese
This is a delicious mac and cheese recipe that has a zesty twist. You'll love it and your kids will love it even more. Easy to make and with the help of Sabra taking care of the flavours for you, it's ready in no time.

- 2-3 TBSP of Sabra Classic Guacamole
- 1/2 lemon for lemon juice
- 2-3 cups of elbow macaroni pasta
- 1 cup of 1% or 2% milk
- 2 TBSP of unsalted butter
- 2-3 cups of Tex Mex shredded cheese
- 2 TBSP of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cube of chicken stock
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 1 saucepan
- 1 pot
- 1 wooden spoon
- 1 spatula
- 1 whisk
- 1 food processor
Take your 2TBSP of butter and melt on medium heat. Slowly add in 1/2 of the flour and whisk until it turns to a paste.
Once it is a paste, add your milk and chicken stock. Stir well.
Begin to add shredded cheese and stir often.
Once it starts to thicken, begin to fold the cheese sauce.
Add salt and pepper to taste and remove from heat.
Take 2-3 TBSP of Sabra Classic guacamole and place into food processor.
Add lemon or lime juice and blend. (This will help to stop browning.)
Sauce should be pureed but, not runny.
Add to your mac and cheese and fold until completely blended.
Serve with bread and enjoy.
