Hi there, I’m Nancy!

Hey there! If we haven’t met yet, I’m Nancy – the writer, travel enthusiast, and photographer behind this site. I started my career as a journalist and scriptwriter before social media was a thing.

Then for 8 years, and in between, I worked in a long-term care facility as part of a nursing healthcare team.

I’ve been blogging since 2007, and it’s been amazing to watch it grow into what it is today and learn how to adapt with it, too.

Now, over a decade later, I get to do what I love full-time: writing, developing recipes, and taking photos for this site. Sharing all of this with you every day is such a joy.

When I’m not busy here, you can find my work on the Huffington Post, TODAY Parenting, and other publications.

Recently, I’ve added another title to my name: cookbook author. I’m thrilled to keep writing more cookbooks!

I split my time between Windsor, Ontario (Rose City) and Detroit, Michigan.

I’m a huge fan of books, candles, anything rustic, boho, or mid-century modern and of course, pretty things.

Likewise, I adore vintage finds, so you’ll often catch me antiquing for new props for creating content or home decor.

Random Fact About Me: If you offer me the spiciest chicken wings, I will not refuse. It’s my kryptonite! Throw in a Coke Zero, and I’m a happy girl.
