Chungchun Rice Hotdogs Opens Walker Location in Windsor, Ontario

Four Chung Chun Rice Dogs are pictured from above. They are topped with condiments and different toppings. This article covers Chung Chun Rice Dogs.

Chungchun Rice Dog is Here

As of January 6th, Chungchun Rice Hotdog has opened a Windsor location on Walker Road. If there is one thing that we absolutely love, it’s Korean food.

Korean corn dogs or rice dogs are one of many Korean street food favorites, and we’ve tried many places, and Chungchun reigns best.

We’ve had them in London, Kitchener, Toronto, and in the GTA. They are always fresh, consistent, and never undercooked as others have been in this area.

That’s why when we saw the sign of them opening up, we were stoked.

The quality and taste are the same, every single time. The options in sauces and flavors are unlimited, which is why the satisfaction is limitless.

Our Recommendations

The inside of your rice dog is entirely up to you and your preference. I personally enjoy the Whole Mozzarella and no sausage but, if I go for sausage, it’s the Volcano. It has cheese and jalapeño bits inside, and it is HUGE.

Like this dog, can give me a hand cramp, no joke. That’s never a bad thing!

I almost always add the cubed potato option or crunchy ramen. My condiments of choice are spicy mayo, sweet chili, hot sauce, and garlic powder. So delicious!

Rice Dog Options:

  • Chungchun Original — beef sausage
  • Gamsung Potato — beef & chicken sausage
  • Half Mozzarella — half cheese/half beef sausage
  • Ramen Chip — beef sausage
  • Cheddar Cheese — beef & sausage
  • Jumbo — beef sausage
  • Double Cheese — beef & chicken sausage
  • Chicken — chicken-only sausage
  • Squid Ink Cheese — beef sausage
  • Chicken Nugget — beef & sausage
  • Sweet Potato — beef & chicken sausage
  • Volcano — pork & chicken sausage

Vegetarian Options:

  • Whole Mozzarella — whole mozzarella cheese
  • Chocolate — only chocolate
  • Veggie — only veggie

Sauces:

  • ketchup
  • honey mustard
  • chipotle
  • BBQ
  • teriyaki
  • sweet mayo
  • wasabi mayo
  • spicy mayo
  • sweet chili
  • hot sauce
  • sugar or icing sugar
  • cinnamon sugar
  • butter garlic
  • honey butter
  • cheddar cheese

  • bottled water and pop
Korean Fried Chicken in a box at Chungchun Rice Hot Dog on Walker Road. It is smothered in sweet and spicy sauce, crispy waffle fries, and paired with Pineapple-ade.

Korean Fried Chicken — Chicken Wings

  • Sweet & Spicy Wings — regular and large size, Sweet & Spicy Sauce and Waffle Fries
  • Soy Garlic Wings — regular and large size, Soy Garlic Sauce, and Waffle Fries
  • Snow Cheddar Wings — regular and large size, Snow Cheddar Seasoning and Waffle Fries

All three flavors I’ve tried before, and I am familiar with the flavor profiles. I have tried the Sweet & Spicy at Chungchun and let me tell you, it’s sweet and savory. I didn’t find it spicy but, it was so good.

The chicken pieces are boneless and the breading is out of this world. It’s crunchy, like super crunchy, and soft on the inside. Another entrée that Chungchun has made PERFECTLY. The sauce is coated evenly on each piece of chicken, and the waffle fries are also super crispy and tasty.

I was impressed with the quality. This KFC is reminiscent of some that I have tried on Yonge St. in Toronto. I highly recommend you try some next time!

Hours and Location

📍 LOCATION: 4450 Walker Rd, Windsor, ON
⏰ MON–FRI: 11AM–10PM

We were so happy that the Windsor location has plenty of seating. In Toronto, most are just pick-up, and we either walk to a nearby park, enjoy them at home, or in the car. Here, you can sit and enjoy your rice dogs or KFC (Korean fried chicken) freshly made.
