Moroccanoil.
A Gift From the Gods.

Well, I’ve always been a huge fan of the Moroccan Oil lines and not only because they all smell divine, they are very efficient in achieving my desired look. When I was offered Root Boost and a Boar Bristle Brush to review, I was stoked.

I use Moroccanoil hairspray everyday and I love it. It’s lightweight, smells great and maintains my style all day.

Moroccanoil was proud to announce the launch of new styling products and Boar Bristle Brushes this past December. Naturally, the brushes are as equally awesome as the styling products.

Nourishment At Its Finest.

Boar bristle brushes provide nourishment by stimulating and massaging the scalps and gently spreads the hairs natural oils down the shaft. This Moroccan Oil Boar Bristle Round Brush is perfect for just that. It’s 25mm and can easily be used alongside the Root Boost. Using it will help you achieve softer, more manageable hair that is healthier. You can use it to blow dry your hair in sections after you spray your roots with the Root Boost. It’s a match made in heaven and is ideal for dry, coarse hair.

I loved how easy it was to use, it provided a nice grip but, was gentle enough not to tug while blow drying. The rear boar bristles fell off a bit at first but, that’s normal. It was easy to use on myself and on others.

The heat-resistant lightweight, yet durable ash wood handles have a solid easy-use grip. The vented ceramic barrel of the round brushes allow even heat distribution and the right amount of air-flow to help speed up drying time. 2 years in the making, I think they got it right! This brush retails for $72.00 for the 25mm. You can get the Teasing Brush for $36.99, the Classic Brush for $72.00 and the 35mm and 45mm for $84.00.

Root Boost for Volume!

I love big hair and since my hair tends to be a bit flat, this Moroccanoil Root Boost really helps. I tried it on myself and on my sister too. It is best used on fine and medium hair. First off, I love the smell and I love how easy it is to apply. You spray close the scalp and rub it in. It is clear and similar to hair spray, you rub it in and you’re good to go. I used the 25mm Boar Bristle Round brush and the volume was awesome.

HOW TO USE.

Shake well. Spray generously on towel-dried hair at the roots. For a full-bodied effect, apply Volumizing Mousse throughout mid-lengths for enhanced body and movement. Blow-dry in sections, lifting hair away from the scalp.

Volume and Hold.

This was the result of applying the Moroccanoil Root Boost onto towel-dried hair and then blow drying. My sister’s hair is already curly so this gave her control over the frizz and gave her volume right where she wanted it. We finished it off with Moroccanoil Hair Spray and ta-da!

If you want volume, frizz-control and beautiful voluminous hair, check out the Moroccanoil Root Boost and any of the Boar Bristle Brushes. I am so glad that they came out with boar bristle brushes because they simply provide the best results.

  8. I saw an African-American lady at the BMV and her hair looked AMAZING! I asked her what was in her hair. She told me that she is natural (which means product-free). She told me that she uses Moroccan Oil by Charles Penzone. I had no idea there were a line of products for Moroccan Oil. I am now confused as to which product to use??? Her hair had little curls all over with great shine to it! It was FABULOUS!!
