Oh Christmas Tree! #SearsRealCheers

A bare Christmas tree.

Oh Christmas Tree!

Our Christmas tree needed some lovin’… So, it only called for–Tree Trimming Time!

Well, last week you guys joined me on my #SearsRealCheer shopping adventure. I showed you the Sears Christmas Shop and all the gorgeous decorations you need to trim your tree and deck your halls!

Now, it’s time to show you my spoils and how my Christmas tree looks this year!

Our family tradition is to have our family involved and most importantly the kids! Even Mimi got to hang an ornament and Gabby helped so much stringing the ornaments and hanging them. My sister joined us and helped reach what us shorties couldn’t! She’s awesome like that and our tree wouldn’t have turned out like it did if it wasn’t for her.

Let The Decorating Begin!

Gabriella was really anxious to get started and had been asking since November to put up the tree. So, when I told her that it was time to decorate the tree, she was more than willing to jump in feet first! The theme we chose this year was Silver and Red, while last year we had brown and gold and more neutral colors. I was happy to add a fiery red and seasonal red this year!

We decided to purchase and use a soft-white, Energy Star LED set for our tree. I find the white lights more elegant and prefer them over the multi-color. Though the multi-color is very festive.

The ornaments were beautiful and had lots of variety. We opted for the shatter-proof ones with having the kids around.

We decided to keep our tree simplistic and we are adding our own homemade ornaments afterward. Hubby was at work so we wanted to wait until he was home to do it!

How Lovely are Thy Branches!

Gabriella was in charge of the lower half of the tree and what she had in her reach, while my sister and I did the top! We got there, slowly but surely! All while listening to great music and having a blast!

Now, after a lot of work! Yummy snacks, great music and ending up looking like sparkly Twilight vampires–the tree was ready to go! Gabby was so excited to put the star up and I must say–the Ty Pennington star looks BEAUTIFUL! We finished it off with a sparkly, silver tree skirt.

So, thank-you to #SearsRealCheers for this great opportunity and for making my tree look absolutely FAB this year!

From my family to yours, I wish you a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and a blessed Holiday all around!

Eat, drink and be merry and enjoy time with your loved ones!

  1. Your tree looks beautiful. After our tree disaster we did end up getting a new tree and redecorated it last night after midnight…I'd say once a year is enough times to decorate a tree…it takes time to make it look great (like yours).

    1. Thanks so much Jody, it sure is a time staking task. What I really don't like the most is taking the tree down and putting it away. Now that I dread. 🙁

  2. Love your tree! So beautiful.

Going on a shop for tree decorations would be SO much fun!

Where did you get those snowflakes on the walls?! Those are CUTE!

    1. It was lots of fun and thanks so much! Hmmm, the snowflakes–they are reusable ones that I've had. I'm not sure if it was Canadian Tire or Dollar Store. LOL. One of those! 🙂

  3. I love the star that you put on the top of your tree! It ended up so beautiful!

Also, your daughter is so pretty!

    1. Thank-you, I love seeing everyone's Christmas trees. They are always so personal and you can tell a lot about the family. 🙂
