It’s Finally Here!
TELUS US Easy Roam!

Like many of you  may know, I am a border city girl and since I am literally a bridge away from another country, I play there often.

In fact, I consider the US my second home because of how often I go over and how much I did growing up. I am a huge TELUS fan, that is widely known, not only because their service has always been impeccable for me but, because they also do a lot of social good. I was a happy consumer before I became an official TELUS Advocate earlier this month!

Summer is in full swing and did you know that about 40 per cent of Canadians say that they spend more during the summer than any other season? Between Canada Day and Labour Day, Canadians on average are expecting to spend $1,766 on travel, dining, recreational activities and summer goods. I know that with blue skies and warm weather, I want to be out and enjoying it.

That means our adventures often lead us stateside and our American adventures shouldn’t become a roaming charge nightmare afterwards.

Now, the mobility of my dreams is officially here!

TELUS has launched their US Easy Roam™ add-on and now for only $7.00/day you can extend your rate plan when travelling to the US.  I can use the TELUS app and every day or week day that I am there, I can use my phone as if I was in Canada.

This makes me incredibly elated and ecstatic as we are foodies and I love to check-in to places I go and photograph the adventures we experience, wherever we may roam. Unlike other roaming offers, US Easy Roam is available to all postpaid customers with Canadian plans on their GSM network.

How It Works:

Access the minutes, text messages and data included in your Canadian rate plan with US Easy Roam. Your pay-per-use rates will apply if you go over your plan limits.

The $7 fee is only applied when you make or receive a call, send a text message or use data while roaming in the US and is valid for 24 hours.

Please note: You can have US Easy Roam or a US travel pass, but not both on your device at the same time.

TELUS consumer customers on a monthly rate plan (other than a North American plan) are eligible. If you enjoy cross-border shopping excursions or long-weekend stays, US Easy Roam is great for short to medium length trips to the US. If you plan on being in the US for longer periods, consider one of their 30-day travel passes.

How to Add US Easy Roam:
  1. Text TRAVEL to 7626 to add US Easy Roam to your device.
  2. You’ll receive a text message to confirm your purchase.
  3. Once you confirm your purchase, you’re ready to use your rate plan like you do in Canada.

I am stoked that this has finally gone into effect and I look forward to using US Easy Roam often! I’m also happy that TELUS listens to their consumers because I know that I’ve put in a few inquiries and suggestions to them directly. It’s great to see them accommodate all their users! For more information on US Easy Roam visit www.telus.com/easyroam.

How does your travel roaming package fare?

Let me know, til then–cheers m’deres!
