The Little Mermaid is Back: One of Disney’s Most Cherished Movies is On Blu-Ray for The Very First Time! #disney

One of my most favorite movies of all-time.
Well, folks, on October 1st–it came out of the vault and returned as a Diamond Edition! Fully equipped with Blu-Ray and Digital Copies. Like I said, it’s one of my favorites and I’m proud to admit that I still have my VHS copy from my childhood and we may just have stayed in the Little Mermaid room at the Art of Animation in Disney.
Now, for those of you who aren’t familiar with this magical tale, let me tell you all about it.
A Dreamer.
The story follows Ariel, the 16-year-old daughter of Triton, the Sea King. She is immensely interested in all things human. She collects any little knick knack she finds and longs to be a “Part of Your World.”
When she happens to be below a ship, she swims to the top and there sees a ship at sea. On the ship, she sees Prince Eric and is immediately intrigued. With an unexpected turn, she ends up rescuing Eric and she falls in love.
The Kiss of True Love.
She makes a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula and Ariel, Flounder the Fish, Sebastian the Crab and Scuttle the Seagull set off an adventure to help Ariel find true love and avoid Ursula’s wrath. The movie has lots of adventure, beautiful music and amazing animation.

I am excited to say that both my girls are Little Mermaid fans and were stoked to come home from vacation to find this gem waiting for them. I’m happy to report that they have asked to watch it many, many times and I happily obliged. I know that this movie will continue to be a family favorite.
Not to mention, they were even more excited to see her in the movie after having met her in Disney World and saw her in a live show on the Disney Dream.

I love The Little Mermaid, and actually I have passed it on to my daughter. In fact the first Barbie she had is Ariel-Little Mermaid inspired Barbie!
Aww, you're daughter's so sweet holding The Little Mermaid movie! She looks so excited to have it! My kids really enjoyed the The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition movie. It's just a lovely story.
