It changes lives.
Through TELUS’ partnership with Free The Children, they are helping to inspire and build a community of young leaders dedicated to making the world a better place. Since 2007, TELUS and their team members have provided more than $12 million in support of Free The Children, including their support of We Day (see our WeDay Waterloo experience), We365 and the Give Where You Live educational program.
These are but a few reasons why I love TELUS and can wholeheartedly stand behind. We365 is an app and digital community of dreamers, believers, and doers who want to make the world more awesome!
What is We365?
We365 is a community of dreamers, believers, and doers who want to make the world more awesome. Who says you need to be older to make a difference? They’re changing the world today. For every download, TELUS will give $5 in support of We Day and educational programs!
How it Works.
If you had the app last year, you’ll notice the huge changes that TELUS has made to it. TELUS along with Free the Children have created a fun, social and interactive community where you will find profiles, badges, challenges and ways to track your deeds and reap rewards.
It is a safe place to connect with friends and to motivate your friends and family to get involved locally and globally.
One thing we learned at We Day was to think about technological empowerment. Our technology doesn’t have to be just about taking selfies, it can be a tool that you can use to change the world—one act a time!
Are You Ready to Make a Change?
First thing is first, you need an Apple or Android device. After that, head on over to the App Store or Google Play to download! Then, choose to login via email, Facebook or Twitter.
Once you’ve done that, you can find causes that ignite your #changetheword passion, take daily challenges or create your own, track your volunteer hours for school and start groups to rally your friends around social issues you care about.
If you are a teacher or educator, you can bring technology for good to your classroom. You can have students take part in challenges, track their work and you’ll be surprised on how much change can happen!
Be the Change.
Thanks to TELUS and Free the Children, our youth can actually use their phones for good. They will love the community and interaction and you will love to see them change the world bit by bit!
Does the young person in your life use their phone for good?
Let me know, til then—cheers m’deres!
