Christmas Sweaters are Here!
Once November strikes, I am in holiday mode. Maybe it’s because I was born two days before Christmas or that the twinkling lights are now on the tree, there’s snow on the ground and nostalgic carols are now playing on the radio. The holidays are my absolute favourite time of year.
When the holidays start to come around the corner, I am always ready to let my holiday spirit shine from head to toe.
I really am one of those people who have the Christmas carols blaring on the radio starting November 1st! Therefore, it’s not surprise that I am a huge fan of Christmas sweaters. What some people will call ‘Ugly Christmas Sweaters,’ I call festive, cheerful and stylish.
Make It Tradition!
As a family, we jump at any chance to wear our sweaters and we aim to buy them every year. We head to Walmart early in the season and pick out our favourite designs. They are traditional festive sweaters, but can be incorporated into your personal style easily. This means that you can wear them more often and feel festive all the way up until the big day.
Around the second week of November is usually when the parades start to happen and holiday-themed events for the kids start popping up. It’s an exciting time and we try to go to every parade in the towns surrounding us. Of course, when we do attend, we put our festive foot forward and arrive in full gear. That includes Santa hats and Christmas sweaters.
The sweaters at Walmart are super cute and they are so soft and warm. They also tend to fly off the shelves and if you want one, you have to act fast!
Festive and Trendy!
The girls are ready for the holidays with their new sweaters. Gabby went casual with a snuggly grey sweater with the cutest little skating penguin you’ve ever laid eyes on and fluffy snowflakes. Guess what? It lights up! She styled the sweater with black George French terry tights and her favourite motorcycle boots. She finished her look with a top-knot bun, heart-shaped diamond earrings, sunglasses and a hooded bomber jacket.
She mentioned that the sweaters are cozy and soft and not at all itchy as one may think. Gabby loved that the lights in her sweater were super bright and changed in fun patterns. Plus, who doesn’t like a pom-pom?
He Had a Very Shiny Nose!
Mimi chose a super cute red and white sweater featuring everyone’s favourite reindeer, Rudolph. She paired it with black George French terry tights, George suede booties, shades and a black George pea coat. Armed with warm Frosty-inspired mittens, she is ready for any holiday soirée. She is in love with her sweater this year and cannot wait to wear it to school. I have a feeling that it will get a lot of use!
It’s a Family Affair!
The holidays are always fully booked with parties, events and celebrations. Why not make it themed and arrive in style as a whole family? I chose a blue sweater adorned with Christmas ornaments and yes, they light up! With a pair of black jeans, black combat boots and a George long sleeveless sweater vest and I was good to go.
I’m all about feeling good and when you can have both style and comfort; it’s a win-win. Plus, when you can literally light up a room with your sweater, well, that’s pretty darn cool in my books!
Darasak is my partner in crime and also a Christmas fanatic. It goes without saying that he will rock a Christmas sweater like nobody’s business and without shame because who doesn’t love light-up Rudolph noses? His usual style is casual and trendy so it isn’t a surprise that he prefers the same for his holiday gear.
He styled the sweater with his favourite black skinny jeans and motorcycle boots and turned on his sweater lights and let his Rudolph sweater do the shining. I was kind of jealous of his sweater because it comes with bells and you can hear him coming from a mile away. I love it! Other selections for men are just as awesome. From a 3D Santa with shades on to a polar bear anxiously awaiting a gift, there are many festive sweater selections for him to choose from. See the men’s selection, here.
Get ready for the holiday season with Christmas sweaters for the whole family! Walmart has festive sweaters including reindeer, snow men, penguins, to the big guy himself. The best part is that they suit any style. Whether it’s more subtle like pretty ornaments dressed-up with a fun leather jacket or as silly as a sweater that gives you an elf uniform–Walmart has your back, y’all!
Do you rock Christmas sweaters during the holidays?
Let me know, til then–cheers m’deres!
