Boy, was it ever fun?

The girls had their fun with the Junior Red Riders and riding Honda dirt bikes but, after an amazing lunch at the Windermere House and Rosseau Grill, we were ready to take on the trails.

We drove a short distance to get to the trails and met up with our instructor. He showed us the ins and outs of both machines and our first challenge: the 2016 Honda Pioneer 700-4 SxS.

I will be honest, I was a bit intimidated yet incredibly intrigued by the idea of tearing through the forest and trails in a vehicle.

I decided to let Dara take the first ride and I took the passenger seat. The trail was bumpy, muddy and there were trees that had fallen which made for an even better obstacle to overcome.

Darasak did pretty well and the girls loved being in the back seat.

Time to Take the Wheel

Now it was my turn to take on the trail and let me tell you, the butterflies were ever so present. In a good way! I gripped the steering wheel, hit the gas and we were off.

Then, I followed the instructor and took on the trail.

I felt incredibly confident in this vehicle and safe. I’ll admit, once I got going, I went faster and faster and not to toot my own horn but, I think I did pretty well. The adrenaline was pumping and it was amazing!

Kid-Approved

The girls were safely strapped into the SxS and loved how bumpy the ride was and ripping through the trails.

Gabby said that she could feel the adrenaline pumping and since she had a helmet on, visibility was reduced and she didn’t know what was coming next.

That’s why she thought it was so exciting.

Mimi held on for dear life but, I could hear her giggling and squealing in delight. The SxS was my favorite because it accommodate the whole family and everyone was able to have big thrills!

ATV Time

After coming off that high on the SxS, I was ready to jump on the ATV and give it my all. Our instructor showed us how to operate the ATV and how to use our body mechanics to maneuver and control the ATV.

It was a dance of sorts that is required–and I was ready to dance. The girls jumped in the SxS with our instructor and we mounted the Honda TRX ATV’s.

The ATV was definitely a bit more challenging than the SxS but, the thrills were incredible. I can’t even tell you how much fun we had and how easy the learning curve was.

If I can do it–anyone can!

See It In Action

Get On and Ride

I think this is a perfect way to spend time together as a family. We were happy to have learned how to ride safely and how to operate the vehicles and we definitely want to do it again.

We all enjoyed it and you can most definitely feel the Honda difference.

Check out our day at Camp Honda we went fishing on a Honda pontoon boat, dirt biking with Junior Red Riders and played around with power equipment.

Would you ever consider riding a Honda ATV and Side-by-Side?

Let me know, til then–cheers m’deres!
