OPI 2014 15 NEW Nail Lacquers & Carrie Underwood Nicole by OPI Collection: All These Colors are PERFECT for Spring! #nails

OPI 2014.
Yeah, it kinda rocks.

And we are only 3 months in, I had the opportunity to test out a few new Carrie Underwood lacquers and a few more BRAND NEW lacquers for 2014. Even though they launched in January, the shades are to die for and they are perfect to freshen up your Spring looks and wardrobes.

Alongside their celebrity collaboration with Carrie Underwood, Nicole by OPI announces the launch of 15 new nail lacquers for 2014 available in January! This wide range of shades feature shades from dark blue and cool mint to bright sorbet hues, as well as metallic shimmers and creamy nudes; all ideal for coordinating with the latest fashion trends.

Treat Your Nails.

In addition to these two exciting collections, Nicole by OPI announces four new Top Coats & Treatments for 2014, also available in January. Inspired by OPI’s in-salon favorites, the line includes Oil to Go, 3-in-1 Base, Top Coat & Strengthener, Quick Dry Top Coat and Matte Top Coat. All FIRSTS for Nicole by OPI!

Packaged in a leak-proof tube, Oil to Go keeps cuticles soft and smooth on the go. 3-in-1 Base, Top Coat & Strengthener encompasses nail care must-haves in one convenient bottle. Matte Top Coat can be layered over any Nicole by OPI hue to instantly transform shiny finishes to matte. Quick Dry Top Coat reduces drying time and adds shine and protection.

I’ve been using the Oil to Go on a daily basis and find that it’s made my nails look much healthier and my cuticles sure needed the love. The Quick Dry really works well and helps when you are in a rush and still want to obtain a cute mani! The Matte Top Coat is one of my favorites because you can turn any OPI shade and lacquer into a matte finish.  You can get these treatments for $10.99 each at select Shoppers Drug Mart, Walmart Canada, Jean Coutu, Loblaws and London Drug.

At Least I Pink So.

I’ve got this pretty bubblegum pink on my mind and it is super gorgeous. I found that it was a bit streaky but, went on pretty well. I love how pastel it is and goes with a lot. So fresh for Spring!

I’ll Have the Salmon.

I’m hooked on this peachy-pink! This was a gorgeous shade, it works well with any skin-tone and the formula was great. One of our favorites.

Oh my! This creamy white is quite yummy and another one of our favorites. This color is fun and bright and makes you dream of brighter and warmer days. It was a bit streaky but, really great overall.

Taupe of My Class.

This earthy taupe is a real overachiever. I wasn’t a big fan of this color and mainly because of the olive undertone. But, I think it’s a great neutral shade. Opacity was okay and formula was amazing though.

 I Shop Mintage.

A timeless minty green with real retro appeal. This one was awesome. So bright, cool and refreshing. Perfect like the blue skies. 2 coats and done and opacity was excellent.

Oh That’s Just Grape!

How am I supposed to resist this cool and juicy violet? This shade reminds me of Spring and of Easter. What a fun color, won’t you say? Formula and opacity were superb.

Emerald Empowered.

When I wear this gemstone green, I feel like I can conquer the world! Yes, this is MY FAVORITE shade in the new OPI 2014 Collection. It reminds me of peacock feathers, if that makes sense. Formula was amazing, 2 coats and done.

Not Pictured:

Be Awesome, A rainbow of light that takes your breath away, Sweet Surrender- Defeat looks sweet when wearing this pink blush, Fabulous is My Middle Name- Pink and silver super-shimmer is my game, Always a Flirt!- This luminous fuchsia is more than just a wink of pink, Something About Spring- When I saw this hot pink, it bloom my mind!

That’s Putting it Mild- This luscious, creamy nude makes a big fashion statement, The Blue is So You!- This dramatically dark blue was created with you in mind and Teal Me Something New- This of-the-moment teal has headline-making style.

Party Bus!

This is a silver and silver holographic glitter in a clear base. This has flower shaped glitter you can place as you wish. It goes well with almost every shade. Celebrate on-the-go with this party-perfect confetti glitter.

Some Hearts.

It is a creamy coral, the formula was pretty amazing and went on well. I used two coats and it was perfect. It has reddish undertones that lean into pink. It turned out a little more reddish on our medium skin tones. You can’t beat this romantic coral dream!

American As Apple Pie.

This is a classic red with a hint of shimmer. I think that’s what makes this shade so great, the opacity was good and the formula went on perfectly. You have to catch the lacquer at the right angle to see the shimmer. As you can see, pictured above you can see it in the bottle but, not so much on the nails. Two coats for this one!

Fisher Queen.

This is a gorgeous, deep plum shade. Just two shades for this one and as you can see, the opacity is great and the formula better. This one also has the same hidden shimmer like the red does but, it’s there. I think it is one of my faves in this collection. I’m hooked on this deep, deep eggplant.

Good-Bye Shoes.

The consistency in this one was superb and the color–amazing. I love this shade, it’s modern, chic and unique. I used two coats for a perfect finish and the opacity was great. Hit the road, but leave me this standalone gray-green.

Sweet Daisy.

This is salmon-like color, it turned out more pinky on our medium skin-tones. This is a fun color for Spring and I loved the consistency and formula. Two coats and done.

Color Me Country.

This shade came out so bright and vibrant. I love it, well, because I love pink! The consistency was great and like most of these lacquers, it only required two coats. This soul-ful hot pink makes me want to sing!

I think we have had plenty of winter and I think it is time for fun colors that transcend seasons and bring smiles to our faces. I love the new OPI 2014 Collection and the Carrie Underwood Nicole by OPI is amazing.

Which is your favorite shade?

Let me know, til then–cheers m’deres!
