Target REDcard: Apply for One Today and Get 5% Off Every Day! PLUS Get An Extra 5% Off Coupon When You Apply Before November 10th! #TargetREDcard
Do you have one yet?
Well, you may have read all about my Target shopping experience and how I made my house a home with the help of Target. That alone is proof that I have an undying love for all that is Target. On top of having amazing home decor, they have the latest electronics, the trendiest clothes and shoes and you can even get groceries too! Not to mention all the essentials you need in life!
Needless to say, we go to Target often. That may be an understatement but, while I am always on the hunt for a good bargain, I never pass up a chance to save and save all the time.
That’s money in your pocket, baby.
That’s right, with a Target Debit Card or Target RBC MasterCard, you are able to save 5% every time. I pay with my debit card or credit card all the time. In fact, I don’t remember the last time that I carried cash. When I shop at Target, I almost always pay with my debit card. For me, it made more sense to apply for a Target Debit Card.
It was incredibly easy, it only took me about 5 minutes to fill out the online application, all I needed to add was my personal info, answer a few security questions and bank info right from my personal cheques. I did not need to open a new account, just use my existing account. After that, it took about 7 days to arrive. If you’re not convinced, you may have some of the worries I had when I was offered the program at the check-out line. All which didn’t turn out to be the case and was the opposite of what I thought.
A Few Myths:
- I thought it is a credit card only program and seeing that I use my current credit card to rack up travel points, I did not want another credit card.
- I thought that the debit card would require me to create a new bank account at RBC, especially when I see the logo of a bank on the card.
- I thought that I’d have to open a new Target bank account to get the RedCard, which I didn’t want to do.
Savings That Add Up.
I’m kinda kicking myself for not getting a REDcard sooner because really, that is a lot of money that I could have saved. Now that I know how easy it was to get a card, I can’t wait to start flashing my REDcard and save every single time that I cash out.
I’m happy with my debit card choice but, if you choose to go with the Target RBC MasterCard you will pay no annual fee. You get you 5% off every Target purchase, as long as you’re using the Target MasterCard as your form of payment. It also provides .5% cash rewards on all purchases (outside of Target) as well as purchase security and extended warranty insurance.
TIP: If you sign up now and before November 10th, you will get an additional one-time saving of 5%, so for one purchase, you’ll get 10% off instantly.
If it meant saving 5% off your bill every time, would you sign up for a REDcard?
Let me know, til then–cheers m’deres!

5% off everyday really stacks up at Target- I shop for groceries with coupons there often, so this could really stretch my budget further.
It can definitely help you save even more.
I have had one for years and love how I save by shopping there (shopping I would have done anyways)!
You guys are lucky to have had it for so long. Us Canucks can get one too now!
I don't currently have a Target RedCard but their cashiers ask me about it all the time. Right now I'm trying to pay off debt so I really don't need an additional card.
I did not want another credit card, so I opted to link my current bank account with a Target REDcard and boom. Savings. No need for an additional credit card.
I wish we had a target in my area. I would love to get this card. Target is a great place to shop.
Awww, that is a shame. I hope you get one in your area soon.
Well, this is AWESOME! This is exactly the kind of thing I look for, especially around the holidays.
SO true, the savings can go a long way.
I'm definitely getting myself a REDcard. I already do a lot of shopping there, and I'm all about a discount.
That is why I got one!
One more reason to love target! I shop there all of the time, I'll have to look into this redcard 🙂
It super simple, good luck!
I do not have a red card but I am going to talk to my husband about it. This would be an easy way to save money!
Definitely, if you do not want another credit card, you can always link up your existing bank account.
I love target and try and use my red card every chance I get.
That is a good plan to have.
I'm definitely applying for a REDcard. I love Target, and 5% is a great value around the holidays.
Not to mention, every single time you check out at Target!
I seriously love my Target RedCard! I use it all the time. Actually I used it this morning. I loved saving money just because I used it at checkout.
Oh, that is awesome to hear! Love Target and love savings too.
I actually don't but have been thinking about getting one. I am off to check it out. Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure, enjoy the savings!
Hmm that's interesting. But I have to think about getting another card.
It links up with your existing banking account and you only use it at Target. You do not have to opt into the credit card option.
I love shopping at Target!! I love saving an extra 5% with their debit card plus the free shipping is a great perk too!
It is always great to save and it adds up!
Oh man, Target is the best! Just one more reason for me to spend more time and money there!
I agree. 🙂
I love my Target red card. The 5% off is definitely motivation to spend a little extra each time we shop there.
LOL, and not feel bad about it.
My husband has this, it's definitely a great way to save money especially the 5%.
Every time, you cannot go wrong.
I have the Red Card debit card. I like that it pulls from my checking account and that I save 5% off my total when I use it. These are great incentives too.
I totally agree!
Target is awesome~! Why not save an extra 5%?
Exactly, why not?
