Accordion-Doors are Transforming Spaces!
I am always on the look out for easy and stylish ways to transform our living areas. Being a freelance writer, I spend a lot of time on my computer and on working in my office. While my office is in the basement, I love the privacy that that alone gives me but, sometimes it is hard to keep it that way. Having two kids and a very organized and helpful Hubby, I find that my office is sometimes a place where things go missing and as much as it is MY space, it doesn’t always remain that way.
That is why I was looking into perhaps getting Accordion doors to maintain privacy but, in a way where I still know what is going on in the house. Not to mention something that is easy on the eyes. The basement is our main living space and where we spend most of our downtime and recreational time in. We have the kids play room, my office, laundry room and entertainment area in the basement.
Save Space!
I love how the Accordion door eliminates a swing door and truly does save space either way of the two spaces. I think it’s perfect for separating the play room and entertainment area too. Now that I think about it, because as much as we love watching our favorite shows–they are not always kid-friendly. The doors will help separate both areas and we can all share a common living area without problems.
Hubby and I have come to the conclusion that using accordion doors is the best solution to transform our basement spaces and I know that it will be a great investment. An investment that saves space and doors that are easy to operate. After all, when we update our home, that’s what we look for–style, ease and comfort!
Small or Large Spaces?
No problem.
Not everyone has a small home business rather they have other larger spaces that they want to transform. You can easily use the same concept by adding accordion doors to your large office spaces, garages and businesses.
I know a few friends who own businesses of their own and definitely recommend them because they are aesthetically pleasing and secure. So, it looks like it’s time for a little basement revamping for us and mama can take back her office space without sacrificing style!

Those doors look cool! I know a few places where the usual swinging door doesn't fit or gets in the way. This would be a great solution. Thanks for sharing! 🙂

It will be a great idea to install a high security gate, if you want to provide added safety to your home garage.
They do save space,i wish i had use those instead of doors for my closet.
