1. A Good Night’s Sleep

People are sleeping fewer hours than ever before. At present, we only get 6.7 hours of sleep a night compared to over 8 hours people used to get in the 1940s.

While this might not seem like a significant difference, sleeping less than 7 hours a night has serious consequences on our health.

Stroke, obesity, high blood pressure, cancer, depression, and other major illnesses have strongly been linked to inadequate sleep.

While the science behind lack of sleep and predisposition to illnesses is complex, it boils down to that our bodies need time to repair and rejuvenate for proper functioning.

2. Exercise

Much has been said about exercise, but for most people, it is about toning or losing that extra weight.

4. Having Strong Relationships

Understandably, some people value their own space and immensely enjoy their own company.

While you do not have to accommodate every stranger you meet on the subway into your life, it helps to have healthy relationships.

Having strong relationships with friends or family has been proven to lead to a happier life and fewer health problems.
