Occupations to Consider During a Pandemic

Occupations to Consider During a Pandemic
If you have lost your job during the COVID pandemic, it may be time to consider a new career.
Maybe you’re not enjoying the uncertainty of unemployment or being bored at home with nothing to do.
Many occupations thrived during the pandemic. Especially since being deemed essential by the government.
So which direction do you see yourself heading in?
Customer Service
Are you enjoying being at home with your pets and family all day? How could you not? When else do you get to stay in pajamas seven days in a row?
It’s time to get excited because there are jobs that you can do from the comfort of your living room! And guess what, they have always existed.
If you enjoy talking to customers on the phone, you might consider taking on the role of a customer service agent.
You can do this for any e-commerce store or online platform. Keep in mind, they are not always pleasant conversations.
If you’ve ever had to call your bank, a store you bought an item from, or even your service provider, then you have been on the customer-end of the customer service help desk!
E-Commerce
If you would rather be your own boss, you might consider starting an e-commerce company or drop shipping.
E-commerce is simply the sale of goods online. Amazon is the number one e-commerce brand you can recognize today.
Though, all your favourite fashion brands and stores like Target and Lowes all have an e-commerce platform. Customers can order from their homes and offices and have it delivered at their convenience.
Starting your own brand and business might sound like too much, especially with little to no experience. Dropshipping is another convenient method of e-commerce. It is a popular method of setting up an online store but never owning any of the stock.
When a customer places an order, the order is automatically sent to the warehouse in which it is stored, and shipped from there.
All you have to do is work the front end of developing a website. This is done easily with platforms like Shopify.
Plumbing
Maybe you like to be on your feet and not at home all day. Plumbing is something that is always needed.
Even more so, now that entire families are at home all the time.
The first thought of plumbing tends to be a big, hairy man with a coin slot crouched over next to a toilet.
Rest assured there is more to plumbing than fixing toilets.
