3 Tricks For a More Energizing Sleep Every Night
How to Have More Energizing Sleep Every Night
Is there anything worse than going to sleep and waking up more tired than the night before? It happens to all of us, but what can you do to change this?
Are you doomed to a life of low energy every morning?
Nope! There are ways to get a more energizing sleep each night, and it all starts with these three tips:
Don’t Drink Before Bed
Try to avoid drinking too much before you go to bed. Your last drink should be an hour or so before you actually settle down to go to sleep.
Of course, this drink should only really be water – nothing with caffeine or alcohol in it.
Both caffeine and alcohol will make you need the toilet, which is why you probably wake up in the middle of the night needing to go.
If you stop the bad habit of drinking before going to bed, your body has less reason to wake you up. Thus, you can sleep through the night, instantly feeling more energized in the morning.
Find the Right Mattress for Your Body
There’s no such thing as the best mattress of all. People are different, meaning our bodies are different.
Some of us might prefer a very soft mattress, while others find that soft mattresses leave them achy and in pain.
The secret to a good night’s sleep is ensuring you are comfortable.
A bad mattress can make you wake up at night in lots of pain. So, what mattress is the right one for your body?
Do you need an ultra-firm spring one, or are you best opting for a high-end memory foam mattress? Unfortunately, it’s impossible for anyone else to tell you what is best for your body!
Instead, you’ll have to do some research. A lot of mattress stores will have technology that analyzes you and picks out the best mattress for you.
Or, you can often buy a mattress and try it out for 28 days. If it doesn’t work for you, you can send it back.
Either way, finding the right mattress for your body gives you a restless night’s sleep that helps you wake up very energized.
Sleep with the Curtains Open
Often, you wake up in the morning and feel so tired and sluggish despite having many hours of quality sleep.
Sometimes, the reason for this is that you wake up when it’s dark. Your curtains are closed, so your body still thinks it’s night and is preparing you for sleep.
If you wake up in brightness, you should feel more energetic right away. One way to do this is by keeping your curtains open, allowing your body to adjust to the natural set and rise of the sun.
Of course, this isn’t always possible thanks to light pollution from the street. An alternative is to get a sunrise alarm clock.

Here, your clock has a light that’s timed to mimic the sunrise. So, when you’re about to wake up, it slowly starts getting brighter and brighter.
The idea is that it helps your body clock adjust and stops you from feeling sluggish in the morning.
Apply these tips to your sleeping routine and you will see a noticeable difference in how much energy you have in the morning.
You should be able to wake up and get out of bed straight away, rather than dozing off for another hour or two!
