Banana Boat SunComfort Sunscreen Spray & The Banana Boat Sand Challenge!

Banana Boat SunComfort Sunscreen.
Helping you say good-bye to sticky beach days.

Banana Boat is one of our favorite sunscreens to use. Especially for the kids because it smells amazing and it provides a nice and even spray. It’s great for squirmy kids to spray, rub in and go!

Being beach bums, we go through our fair share of sunscreen. One complaint that I get from the kids is that they do not like the sticky feeling and getting sand stuck to them due to the sunscreen. We had the chance to try out Banana Boat’s NEW SunComfort Sunscreen Spray and put it to the test against sand!

Bye-Bye Sand!

One thing that we look for in sunscreen is coverage. We usually use 50 SPF and we prefer the sprays instead of the creams. Although I do love the tanning products from Banana Boat! With this new formula, you can fall in love with the sun and the sand again. It’s made to easily wipe off sand and it not only protects, it moisturizes too!

About Banana Boat SunComfort:
  • Broad spectrum UVA/UVB
  • Good for everyday use
  • Light weight
  • Water resistant (80 minutes)
  • Sand easily brushes off
  • Relieves dryness

Time to Put It to The Test!

Banana Boat sent along a SunComfort Sand Challenge Kit to determine how well it works and how it stands up against sand. In a container, they sent along blue sand, Banana Boat SunComfort Sunscreen and a card to purchase the next leading brand. We spread a single layer of sand on the lid of the container and prepared for the test!

Spray It On!

We sprayed one forearm with the Banana Boat SunComfort sunscreen and the other arm with an even spray with the next leading brand. Gabby rubbed it in and she let it dry before moving onto the next step. This is where the blue sand comes in!

How Did It Work?

Gabby pressed her forearms onto the single layer of sand to cover them completely. To give both sunscreens a fair shake, Gabby wiped away 3 times on both sides. The Banana Boat was on her left and the other on her right.

The results were apparent, the Banana Boat SunComfort flew right off, almost like dropped off of her arm while the other brand came off but, left remnants behind.

See It In Action!

If you want to see it in a live demo, take a look at the video above. It’s safe to say that with Banana Boat SunComfort Sunscreen, you’ll be in the clear and have less sticky days than with any other sunscreen.

This was just on her forearms and I can only imagine the nooks and crannies and the sand that would get stuck in them! I know that the nooks and crannies would be free of sand with Banana Boat SunComfort!

Get Ready for Sticky-less Summers!

I am so happy that Banana Boat has a formula that allows us to enjoy the beach even more!

So when we are on the beach in hot weather with sweat and sand, I know that the sand we struggle to wash off after a day at the beach will be no more. It’ll just brush off. In between applications we can just brush off the sand, re-apply and enjoy fun in the sand!

  13. This would be awesome for my boys. We go to the beach almost daily when school is out. A high SPF is KEY for me in a sunscreen. Waterproof would be a bonus as well.
