Spice Up Your Life.

In our house, we are “meatatarians” and we always have some form of protein with our meals. Almost always, that meat is chicken. Other meat choices we often enjoy are beef and fish. Ultimately, that means that we go through a lot of spices on a daily basis. Now that I have the Club House Sea Salt Grinders in my arsenal, I have it all.

Flavour, saltiness, heat, tangy-ness and smokiness.

In our home, we prefer boneless chicken thighs because they are juicier and much more flavourful when spiced. They stay nice and moist after cooking and are versatile. I always make a marinade of sorts and add my favorite spices.
Some days I’ll add balsamic vinegar, amino acids or mustard. Sometimes, I’ll chop up scallions and garlic and let it sit overnight. But, most days, I just make a simple spice medley and generously sprinkle it on. I use similar for my beef but, instead I rub it on.

Pack a Punch.

If I bake the chicken, I normally will take off the fat and skin. But, since the thighs were going to be BBQ’d, we left it on for extra flavour and it just ends up burning off. With my spice medley, you can guarantee that it will taste amazing. Every single time. It’s basic cooking but, when you use the right spices, it gives it that extra oomph.

My Southwestern Rub:
  • 1 TSP of Adobo
  • 1 TSP of Pepper
  • 1 TSP of Paprika
  • 1 TSP of Onion Powder
  • 1 TSP of Garlic Powder
  • 1 TSP of Parsley
  • 1 TSP of Club House Chipotle Sea Salt
  • A pinch of Ground Cumin
  • A sprinkle of Cinnamon

After I sprinkled on the spice medley, I topped it up with another boost of chipotle sea salt . I love how you are able to change the thickness of the salt grain. Whether you want it coarser or really fine. It grinds easily and I coated both sides and the chicken was ready for the grill.

Enjoy, While Your Taste Buds Rejoice!

After the chicken has finished cooking, you can top with your favorite BBQ sauce (I added a few shakes of Club House Chipotle Sea Salt into the sauce and mixed thoroughly) and let it caramelize on the grill before pulling them off. Serve with your favourite side and you’re golden.

Other Ways to Enjoy Club House Sea Salt & Spice Grinders:
  • Use the Sweet Onion Sea Salt with your favourite veggies.
  • Add to boiling water and it will bring flavor to whatever you cook.
  • Add texture to your salad, instead of using it in the dressing, top it with salt.
  • Add the Smoked Sea Salt Grinder to roasted potatoes.
  • Use Chipotle Sea Salt as a rub on your roasts.
  • Grind them over your favourite fish dishes and give it a sweet and pungent flavour, a bit of spice or a smoky flavour.
  • Add it to your favourite cheeses. Just avoid the ones that are already salted.
  • Anyone say fusion? Add it to your favorite Asian noodle dish–your taste buds will thank you.
  • Add sea salt and chipotle to your guacamole. Add lime, Pico de Gallo and you got a spicy app!
  • Add it to dips and marinades.
