If you know me, you know that I love glasses.
Whether they are designer or no name, I’ve adopted them as a part of my life and as an accessory to my wardrobe. Though Lasik may be an option, due to my astigmatism (the way my eyes are shaped) I’ve been advised against it. To be quite frank, it makes me kind of nervous.
So, when I’m not wearing my contact lenses, I am donning my thick-framed plastic glasses. I’ve had all kinds, Dior, Guess and my current ones, Calvin Klein.
I have to say one of my most favorite frames weren’t designer at all.
When GlassesUSA.com offered to send me a pair to review, I was more than happy. I looked through their site and found the exact same frame I had so many years ago.
I had actually purchased this frame a few times because when Gabriella was a wee one, she had an affinity for snatching my glasses right off. In milliseconds, due to her great talent she broke them. Eventually, the company stopped carrying them and I moved on and tried something new.
I had the chance to try out a pair of prescription glasses and of course, I decided to get my old frame. They are dubbed “Joey Black” and they are simple, thick and black. They retail for $48 dollars and after I had added on my prescription and everything I wanted to, it ended up being a bit more than $100 after shipping.
Which is literally 1/4 of what I normally spend and that’s with benefits too. Now, I know you may worry that they are cheap glasses and that may make you a bit wary but, they really are quality glasses. They aren’t cheap-looking in any way, shape or form. At this price, I may have to get a pair of even funkier and more retro ones that are Wayfarer style.
“Simplistically bold, the Joey eyeglass frame personifies funk! Black in color for a solid statement, Joey is rectangular in shape. The metal based arms add an extra layer of protection to the plastic frame.”
Yeah. I’m pretty funky.
I love them.
Anyway, I’ve always purchased my glasses in-store and I was a bit wary of not being able to try them on. But, since I was familiar with the frame it wasn’t a problem for me. Had they not been what I wanted, they have a 100% Guarantee that they will get you in glasses that you like or that work for you.
I am elated.
Well, when they arrived at my door I was super excited to see if they were REALLY my old frames and if I’d be able to see through them. My prescription is a bit high and I was scared that they may not work for me. They came in a nifty case with a cleaning cloth and they were all that I expected. I put them on and I was able to see just as I do with my current prescription, no blurriness or warped vision–nothing. Seamless transition from my current glasses to my new ones.
How to Order Online:
It is fairly easy to order online and if you are in the market to buy glasses, all you really need to know is your prescription, you can add anything and customize accordingly. They have UV Protective Coating, and much more options to choose from that are affordable add-ons. They also have a system where you can “Try-Them On” virtually with your own picture that you upload or a model on their site. That way you can see if it would suit your face type and shape. You can even send them to your friends for their expert opinions.
They even have money-saving bundles that you can add on.
I am elated.
You also have the option to send them a copy of your prescription in the case that all those numbers confuse you and you want to get your prescription right. I even called their customer service line because I was confused with the sizes in comparison to my current frames and I received a real person almost instantly. They were able to help me out in choosing the right size and they also emphasized that they have their guarantee and would replace them if I didn’t like them or if they didn’t fit.
That is their 110% lowest price and 100% satisfaction guarantee!
So, are you ready to order your new eyeglasses?
Let me know, til then, cheers m’deres!
