How to Spruce Up Your Bedroom in 6 Easy Steps!
How to Spruce Up Your Bedroom!
If you think about it, we spend a lot of time in our bedrooms. Apart from the obvious reason of sleep, we watch TV, read, cuddle with our kids or pups, and just relax. That’s why we try to make it suit our style and fill it with things and decor that make us happy. Sometimes, we grow tired of the same old thing though. Read on to discover how to spruce up your bedroom in 6 easy steps!
We all know what we like so when it comes to style, you got this. I know that I got to this point a few months back and I just needed to give my room a makeover.
1. Change Up Your Linens
Our style changes so often. That goes with our taste in our linens too. Trends change, preferences change, and it is one of the easiest ways to add a little flair is getting a new comforter set. We chose a new grey and teal, herringbone comforter set from Wayfair. They have so many different sets that can suit any budget and style. Plus, I ordered it and it got here so quickly!
2. Get a New Bed Frame
Bed frames tend to last a long time but, let’s face it, they can get dated after a few years. Changing it up to something a little more modern can really change the feel of your room. We love clean lines and neutral colours, and that’s why we liked the upholstered panel bed. It really brought my room to life and we have fallen in love with our room all over again.
3. A Fresh Coat of Paint
You’d be surprised at what a fresh coat of paint can do to a room. Especially if it has been a while since you’ve painted. Try to stick to a neutral colour. That way, you can change the decor and it will still match. Plus, lighter, neutral colours make the room feel bigger!
4. Add an Accent Wall
One of the easiest things we did to really make our room pop was adding an accent wall. All it needed it was some white paint and tape. We went with a herringbone pattern and we ended up with a wall that gives our room character. If you’d rather not put your painting skills to the test, you can opt for a wallpaper and bring your room to life.
5. Be Decorative and Functional
Finding furniture that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional can be a challenge but, it can make all the difference. I found these really chic side tables that had a drawer to store my things. I added little compartments inside to keep things nice and neat. I bought these really gorgeous and modern geometrical lamps to add height to my side table. To finish the practicality, I added a woven basket to larger items away from sight but, near enough to grab when I need them. They also provide a nice contrast!
6. Add Some Books
My favourite way to decorate happen to be one of my favourite things in the world. Books. I take the books I am feeling at the moment and I stack them. Then I place a candle or decorative piece on top. Sometimes I even place my perfume bottles on there too.
Another thing that I always have on my nightstand is a coaster. It’s black marble and I have it there because nothing goes better than a good book and warm mug of goodness. But, who likes cup rings?

Your bedroom is absolutely gorgeous. I especially love the mirrors and the dash of turquoise. BTW if that’s a smart tv then it has camera and speaker access to your bedroom. You can look it up in your owner’s manual. You might want to locate and cover the camera and intercom on your tv to limit your vulnerability to hackers and even to the manufacturer’s use. It’s very disquieting to read up on the subject.
Wow, I never thought of this. Thanks for letting me know. So scary.
I do love your tips this room looks so inviting
