Enjoy Me Time with a Sweet Reads Box Every Month
Enjoy Me Time with a Sweet Reads Box
There are many things in life that I absolutely love, and books are one of them.
When I discovered a subscription box that sends a top best-seller book, an item associated with the book, a yummy drink, and a sweet treat—I was immediately intrigued!
For me, reading is something that I do in my spare time, and since free time is hard to come by and hard-earned, reading is a treat for me.
I can devour a book a day if I could.
I usually aim to so I can read as much as I can. The Sweet Reads Box promise is a good one. Me time. Delivered. Which just so happens to be exactly what I need more of these days!
Surprise
You can imagine my amazement when I came home to find my Sweet Reads Box sitting atop my reading chair.
Darasak knew exactly where I’d find it!
I was so excited to open it and I think a box full of reading goodness is every bookworm’s dream come true. Whether you make it a point to read a few books a week or read a book once a month, this works for any avid reader.
I had the chance to try out the October Sweet Reads Box and I absolutely loved it. It arrived at a great time since I was going away for a week to Georgia, it’d be the perfect time to read a new book and enjoy a sweet treat. Especially during my flights and in my downtime in the hotel. It was awesome!
What’s in the Box?
Before we discuss the content, let’s start off with the fact that Sweet Reads Box is Canadian! That means you don’t have to pay pricey US funds and just use your fabulous Canadian dollars.
One of the things that I noticed is a theme with Sweet Reads is that some of the items are Canadian (which rocks), and they do their best to feature Canadian companies.
The October box came chock full of goodies! The book for October was ‘Faithful’ by Alice Hoffman. The book itself is set in New York and it was awesome to find a set of NYC magnets in the package.
I love trying new coffees and they sent an organic, fair trade, Kyoto coffee fresh roast. I was finishing off some coffee I had left when I sat down to enjoy the box but, my next pot will be the Sumatra from my Sweet Reads Box.
Besides the book, one of my most favourite finds in the box were the Templeman’s Toffees Cashew Crunch with Caramel. Can I say out of this world good?
My goodness, one of the first things I did was hop on my phone and looked them up because I needed more of the deliciousness in my life.
Luckily, I found a store that carries them near me and I know where to go to stock up! Not to mention, when you read the book, you’ll discover the connection between cashews and these sweet treats.
The Goodies
As you can see, the NYC Magnetic Map looks amazing on our fridge, right? Plus, the Little Blue House by Hatley ‘Things to Fetch’ is so much fun.
I think I spy a Frenchie or Boston terrier on the pad, and you all know I’m a sucker for them. The pad is great for lists, and I love the size. Why? Well, you won’t forget this grocery list on the counter. That’s for sure!
And can I mention that inspiring quote by Leonard Cohen? ‘There’s a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in.‘ How beautiful and deep is that?
Mark My Words
They sent the CUTEST bookmarks too! The Fred ‘Mark my Words’ bookmarks slip into the page and hold my place. All while displaying a cute “To be Continued’ or ‘Meanwhile’ on the outside.
With the cold weather on the way, I was delighted to find the most adorable socks. I’m a dog lover, so these Little Blue House by Hatley “Tiny Blue Labs” Crew Socks are EVERYTHING!
