Island Hopping in Massachusetts

Island Hopping in Massachusetts.
Now this is one that I can definitely get into.

The beautiful state of Massachusetts is home to many islands to explore and discover.  When people think of Massachusetts islands, the first places that usually come to mind are Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard. While these islands are well-known and loved by locals as well as visitors from around the world, they are not the only place to seek adventure or relaxation in the waters of Massachusetts.

Relaxation, It’s Calling.

While relaxing on the beach and watching the sun set in the horizon is definitely very attractive to me, I love that there are so many beaches to explore, so many islands and on top of all the beauty, there is much history that is to be discovered. That to me, is most appealing.

See Amazing Things.

When we travel, we love to see things we’ve seen in the pages of books or on film. I for one would love to visit Crane Estate, I watched the film “Flowers in the Attic” and this entrance to the estate where the family walked on is enchanting. As well as the house itself, I can only imagine the beauty and grandeur.

Beach It Up.

While exploring the islands by kayak or canoe may not be appealing with a large family in tow, some of the larger islands are filled with incredible activities.  The large islands like Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard and Cape Cod offer incredible year round vacation activities and serve as the ideal starting off point for an amazing island hopping adventure.  Pack up the tidal pool and beachcomber exploration kits and hit Crowinshield Island, Cuttyhunk and Spectacle island and get your junior Oceanographers excited!

Have you ever visited the islands of Massachusetts?

Let me know, til next time–cheers m’deres!
