Music is a part of my everyday life. Something as natural and essential as drinking my morning cup of coffee, lighting a scented candle, and writing.

It is something that I must have, and it’s non-negotiable. Not only can it alter moods, but it also transports you.

It can inspire–help you create.

At least, that is what music does for me, so when it comes to consuming music, I want the absolute best. I need gadgets that can keep up with me, reliable, well-built, and transmit not only notes and beats but also the feeling I get when I vibe.

You might be thinking, well, that is a lot to ask for from a piece of hardware, but, let me tell you–it is possible. I have a couple of headphones that I place on my head and over my ears, and I am in another world.

Now, music isn’t meant to be just personal, it’s meant to be shared, and for moments like this, you need a good speaker.

Enter the LG P5

One of the most appealing things about the LG P5 is that it has a built-in rechargeable battery. That means you can enjoy your music on the go, without worrying about replacing batteries.

With long-lasting battery life between charges, 15 hours to be exact, there’s plenty of time to enjoy your favorite tunes. Plus, it only takes 2.5 hours to fully charge. 

The shape is sleek, while it is still a block it is sophisticated enough to complement your decor. The buttons on top are clickable, it doesn’t spin and it’s minimalist, which I enjoy.

Connecting it to your device is incredibly simple, you turn on the P5 and connect your Bluetooth to the unit and pair them. In seconds, you are connected to it. 

I use Apple Music or Spotify, and the sound of the speaker is impressive. It’s clear and powerful. Since my playlists have a little bit of everything from classic rock to metal and even the EDM all the kids are listening to these days, it can handle anything.

I experienced no crackling or loss of sound. It’s clear and quite loud for such a small speaker. But while there’s no question about the quality, the P5 is missing smart functions.

In that case, you might want to look at speakers like the Sonos One and Sonos Roam. Nevertheless, the P5 is perfect to have in your living spaces to enjoy during downtime, get-togethers, and when you’re straight up vibing.

Dual Play

A really cool feature that the LG P5 offers is dual play. If you pick up a second speaker, you can pair the two and enrich your listening experience with twice the sound performance.

Use them in Stereo mode for a separate right and left speaker or Twin mode for more sound. By doing this, you can amplify your sound!

Overall, it is a stellar speaker for the price. It is actually one of the crispest sounding Bluetooth speakers that I’ve tried.

Since I am a fan of LG, I am quite happy with it for a personal speaker and take with you on the go.

I highly recommend it simply because of the sound, portability, and battery life. It makes a great gift for him, a gift for her, and gifts for the home.

  6. My 16 year old son would love this! He inherited my love of music and listens pretty much every waking hour. Lately I have been trying to get him to use headphones less often as I worry about them damaging his hearing.
