Must-Have Carry-On Essentials That Make Travel a Breeze
Must-Have Carry-On Essentials
Travel is one of the most fulfilling things you can do. When it comes to travel though, it requires a bit of planning before you get to your destination. I am a light packer. For most trips, I pack a checked bag with all my clothes, shoes, and larger products that cannot be brought onto the plane on a carry-on. Then I take on a carry-on bag and a personal item. Read on to see what my must-have carry-on essentials are and to help you pack for your next trip!
If you are going on a longer trip, you can pack all your clothes into a checked bag. This is great for families, especially if you have a lot of items that you don’t want to purchase at your destination.
For example, sunscreen is quite expensive at resorts and to get it at a good price, you’d have to go to a department store or not risk leaving the resort.
We usually reserve one checked bag for hair straighteners, shoes, clothes, toiletries and more. But, when it comes to packing a carry-on and personal item, you can get smart and make sure your trip gets off to a good start, even if your checked bag gets lost.
What to Pack On Your Carry-On
To me, the carry-on is the absolute most important piece of luggage on your journey. Alongside your personal item, it doesn’t leave your side from the beginning to the end.
I always, always, always, make sure to pack an outfit (undies and all), and one bathing suit. I bring light shoes like flip flops, flats, or foldable ballet slippers to change into if I’m travelling from cold to warm weather.
That way, if my luggage is delayed, I have a change of clothes and a bathing suit to get started on the fun while they locate my luggage.
Not to mention, I’d have packed all the extra essentials to keep me afloat until then. I always pack a small sunscreen (just in case) and some essential meds. In the event, anything unexpected arises.

In-Flight Entertainment
When it comes to flying, you don’t get to choose what type of plane you will be on. Sometimes, there are no screens at all for you to enjoy a free movie, TV or music. For in-flight entertainment on your phone, you’re going to need earphones. The ones that I love to have in my personal item are the Skullcandy Push ear buds.
Why?
First off, they are Truly Wireless earbuds. The color is so unique and pretty, I love how they change in the light. Plus, the secure FitFin gel ear tips make the fit far superior to others I’ve tried.
I love that when you put them away, the charging case keeps them charged. the Skullcandy Push ear buds are lightweight and easy to pack.
Reliable and Amazing Sound
You can listen up to 12 hours of music on one SINGLE charge. How amazing is that for traveling?
You can use it all through your flight and then when you get poolside. Since they’re IPX4 Water Resistant too.
Plus, if you happen to have the aisle seat and need to move frequently, having no earbuds with Bluetooth connectivity offers freedom without wires.
Plus, you can control your music with the touch of a button with single-button volume, track, and call control.
What I love the most is the sound. You can really hear the bass from the Skullcandy Push ear buds and with some of the tracks I listen to, I’m really bumping to it.
Not to mention, the sound is really crisp and clear. For the price, they’re really a great travel companion worth every penny!
