The holidays just went by in a blur and the girls are still enjoying their new toys from Santa. Well, Mama just found herself a new gift for the holidays and the New Year with Next Issue because there’s so many magazines that will help with my upcoming goals for 2014. I made a nice and warm cup of joe and assembled my library and dove into some magazine reading!

Canadian-Health-01

Canadian Health and Lifestyle.

I love this magazine! It’s really giving me inspiration to get back in shape for the New Year. I read about Gillian Michael’s tips and tricks and some very wise words that she gave us readers. “Every single aspect of your life is going to suffer when your physical health is not in order.” Truesay, Gillian. In this issue, you will find 5 minute beauty tips, at-home workout tips, foods to help curb your eating habits and so much more.

AllRecipes-01

AllRecipes-02

All Recipes.

I’m a foodie, what can I say. This issue had some amazing gift ideas (some you’d like to keep yourself) and all things cookies! Seven cookie recipes that made the “cut”. My favorite article was about, wait for it… Meatloaf. It was a great recipe and quite the good read. You can also find the best recipes for chicken, homemade holiday gift ideas and recipes galore. This one is foodie-approved.

FamilyFun-01

FamilyFun-02

Family Fun.

Our family is filled with wanderlust. We yearn for travel and best of all, travelling with the whole gang. This issue of Family Fun lists the Top 10 family destinations. You can also find 4 outdoor activities to make your back yard fun, new recipes to spice up your next cookout and easy clothing makeovers to have you and the kidlets walking in style.

Parents-01 Parents-02

Parents.

Healthy kids, happy families. This magazine never disappoints, it’s always so informative and I’ve been reading this since I was pregnant with my now 9-year old. This issue, the article Dinnertime Discipline really grabbed my attention, I love the emphasis on manners and it’s something we definitely teach our kids. You’ll also find how to revive your meatball recipe, how to prevent accidental poisoning, the truth about the flu vaccine and the great skin guide for Moms.

USWeekly-01 USWeekly-02

US Weekly.

Yeah, you know it.

I may not write about it but, I definitely have a love/hate relationship with celeb gossip. I just can’t help it, they definitely are interesting. In this issue of US Weekly, you will find the story of Khloe and Lamar and their lamented parting and divorce. You’ll also see hot gossip about the Royals, Snooki and the Jolie-Pitts. As always, you’ll see the latest styles, trends and the latest happenings in Hollywood.

Easy.

What I love about Next Issue is how easy it is to create your own library, all you do is scroll the 100’s of titles and with one click, it’s added to your list. You can check out the latest issue or even go back a few months to find that favorite recipe you like.

Next Issue is available for iPad, iPhone, Android Tablets and Kindle Fire and Windows 8 PC’s and tablets. It’s easy to navigate and you can flip through pages for cover-cover reading or tap the screen to see the shortcut tool so that you can jump to different sections of the magazines.

Many of the top magazines take the time to create exclusive extras for the digital edition. From the extra photos in PEOPLE, to the video interviews in Wired, to the interactive maps in Condé Nast Traveler, you’ll soon see why magazines are even better when they’re on screen. Look for special behind-the-scenes peeks, like a photo shoot of a photo shoot. Interesting!

  4. What a great idea. I usually get mag subscriptions for Christmas and they pile up for months before I'm able to tap into them. Having them stored in one place is awesome! The price is a huge savings as well!! Do you know if you can cut and paste from them. Sometimes when I see an amazing recipe I cut it out. It would be great if I could do that as well
