With the first month of the year over, most of us are trying to stick it to 2015 and get healthier. One thing is for sure, you cannot do it alone and you often need many tools to achieve your goals.
That means finding the right supplements that can help you get there and help you keep going. We all have different goals when it comes to fitness. While some train hard for body building competitions or running marathons, there are others who simply want to get healthier and lose some weight or maintain it. Protein is essential for your body, regardless of what your end goal is.
Myself personally, well, I am not a big breakfast eater and I tend to skip it more than I’d like, that is why I often turn to protein shakes and bars like Premier Protein to give me options. They enable me to make healthier choices, it’s on-the-go and a great way to start my day or keep it rolling midway.
Did you know that one Vanilla Premier Protein shake has more protein than 3 scrambled eggs? While eggs are an excellent source of nutrition, sometimes, you forget to boil eggs to grab on the way out. Right? We’ve all been there.
But, if you grab a blueberry muffin, you’re looking at 280 calories more, 24 LESS grams of protein, 14 grams more of fat, 62 more grams of carbs and 38 grams more of sugar. That’s in comparison to ONE Premier Protein shake.
When You Need It.
Depending on your preference, it’s hard to get enough lean protein to match your daily requirement. I am a carnivore to the max but, even then–I don’t get enough. Premier Protein make delicious shakes and bars and they are packed with protein without all the sugar, calories, and fat. They will give you the energy you need every day. They are ideal for breakfast on the go, an afternoon snack, or a post workout boost.
The bars are tasty and I’ve had many different types in the past and they have that “protein bar” taste and pretty much nothing else. While you can taste the protein, the other flavours (like chocolate) are prevalent and they’re yummy.
A Family Affair!
We headed to Costco to pick up some Premier Protein Vanilla shakes. Both Dara and I are trying to supplement our protein intake and just get back to a healthier lifestlye. This is simply a delicious way to do it. The shakes are creamy, sweet and a real treat. Though, treats that are guilt-free.
Going to Costco can be an enormous feat most times since it is always packed but, regardless–they always have a great selection! For the same price as a powdered protein jug, you get a whole case of prepared protein shakes. I say that’s a win!
Gabby is a runner and not a fan of breakfast either. When she doesn’t eat a big breakfast, I give her a protein shake so she can drink later in the day or before basketball practice. Both Dara and her are much more fit than I am and both of them were excited to go and buy some shakes. Dara even found the bars and they are priced at a great price too.
The shakes themselves are super rich and creamy. Premier Protein shakes are available in three varieties: Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberries & Cream. Each shake is packed with 30g protein, and contains only 160 calories and 1g of sugar! Available in 4-count, 12-count and 18-count 11-oz multi-packs. Convenient screw top cap.

I love the size and taste of the protein shakes. Getting them at Costco gives me bang for my buck. Priced at $32.99 for a case and having the convenience of just grabbing and going makes me happy. Not to mention, it helps me earn cash back with my Gold Costco membership. I find that it keeps me full all morning and I am good to go when lunch rolls around.
How do you get your protein in?
Let me know, til then–cheers m’deres!
