Have a Summer Patio Brunch à La Sally’s Cereal with FREE Menu & Place Cards + Giveaway! #SallysCerealDIY
Sally’s Cereals!
In our house, we eat all of our meals together and since breakfast is THE most important meal of the day, we love our cereals. One thing that I take great pride in is having my cupboards perfectly stocked and tidy. My labels always face out and I love having everything in its place. Our cereals take up large real-estate in them and they have to be neat!
We have been Sally’s Cereals’ fans for a while now, it was because I can be meticulous when it comes to having neat cupboards that we discovered the deliciousness of Sally’s. I wanted a cereal that came with a resealable bag that was easy to store.
We browsed the cereal aisle and saw Sally’s and we thought we would try it. It looked good and the price was right! They come in different varieties and I can tell you with certainty that they are all tasty! We were instantly hooked and I’m not talking about just the kids.
Planet-Friendly & Economical.
For families that love a great deal and appreciate value, Sally’s provides great tasting breakfast cereals at a lower price than national brands. Personally, I think Sally’s tastes better than comparable national brands. I’m just sayin’ my kids never complain.
Not to mention, they come in box-less packaging that delivers more great cereal for less money. Sally’s Cereals minimizes the impact on the environment by reducing packaging. Since it comes in a re-sealable bag, the cereal stays fresher, longer. You can pick up Sally’s cereal at select retailers across the country, including, but not limited to, Walmart, Giant Tiger, Real Canadian Superstore, Loblaws, Zehrs, Your Independent Grocer, Fortinos, Provigo, Valumart, select Sobey’s stores in the West and Atlantic regions, and Federated Co-operatives.
Patio Brunch Time!
The gorgeous weather has arrived, in fact we just passed the first day of summer. That means patio season is here! We decided to create our own fun patio brunch and spend an afternoon outside enjoying each other’s company. I made a special ‘Brunch a la Sally’s’ menu that is light and totally delish. You can download the menu to print, here.
I also wanted it to be tropical and I set up a vase made with a pineapple! It’s simple to make, all you need to do is remove the stem of the pineapple, measure your vase and core the pineapple. Once you’ve removed the core, insert your vase and add your flowers. Boom, easy and tropical centerpiece!
Grab Those Spoons!
My girls love cereal, but it isn’t often that we do brunch outside. Sure we have BBQs, but they were stoked about having their favorite cereal outdoors and with their own menu to boot! I surprised them with it and they loved the whole idea.
Have Fun With It!
They are little fruit bats and cannot get enough of fruit, so of course we started with a fruit salad made with cherries, grapes, pineapple, cantaloupe and strawberries. Just for fun, I added a “palate cleanser” to the menu. A little serving of lemon sorbet to prepare for the main entrée! We have eaten at fancy schmancy restaurants before and the girls were elated when they presented us with sorbet.
Menu Consists Of:
- Variety of Sally’s Cereals (Cocoa Crunch’Rageous, Cinnamon Bliss, Honey Oat Medley, Marshmallow Cocoa Crunch , Honey Puffed Delight, Honey Graham Bliss, Berry Colossal Crunch, Sweet Wheat Bundles and Marsh-Mallow Moment. Not all flavors are available in all stores.)
- Fruit Salad
- Palate Cleanser (Lemon Sorbet)
- Milk, Juice, Coffee and Tea
Take a Seat!
Simple, but sure to be a hit! To make brunch extra special, I made a very simple place card setting. You can purchase blank place cards and print my design on labels and just place them on. Or you can just print them on! The girls loved it because they felt special seeing their name at their seats. You can print off the place cards, here.
The girls chose Marshmallow Cocoa Crunch,Berry Colossal Crunch and Cinnamon Bliss as our main entrées! I have to say my favorite is the Cinnamon Bliss and the Berry Colossal Crunch. We served it with milk and had juice, coconut chocolate coffee and peppermint tea.
