Wendy’s just debuted 3 new, refreshing and tasty salads. Ones that are sure to tantalize your taste buds with a burst of merging flavors that are out of this world. I thought, what better time than to invite my sister and BFF out to lunch so that we can gab, catch up and try one of the new Wendy’s salads?
Who Likes Fresh?
I know I do!
I am very pleased at the fact that ALL Wendy’s salads are prepared fresh in the restaurants every day are topped with warm chicken or chili when we order it.
Another thing that has always set Wendy’s above the rest is that they serve both half and full-sized salads. So, if you’re not too hungry or want to eat a little less calories, you can order the half-size. Or if you want a good, filling meal–order the full!
They even slice their tomatoes, cucumbers and red peppers by hand in the restaurant and use deliciously spiced, 100% premium all-white chicken breast meat that is freshly grilled on site. Talk about fresh, I even love the presentation, it is stellar.

My sister and I are best friends, truly and wholeheartedly. Naturally, we have a deep bond and a great friendship. I can confide in her and truly speak my mind without any worry. People often see us as a package deal, though we are very different, people have asked us if we are twins. Though she is a head taller than me!
We even work together but, since I dropped down to part-time work, I hardly see her anymore and we definitely needed to catch up.
We had a great time laughing, talking about the crazy Kardashians, about the newest fashion trends and fails, hilarious Vines and we even reminisced about coming to Wendy’s as kids back when they had a salad bar. We remember making Cobb Salads and we loved it. Ahh, the memories.
3 Bold New Options!
My sister and I were very excited to try Wendy’s salads, as kids, we grew up going to Wendy’s and had a blast every time we went. Now as adults, we love taking lunch dates and we often go to Wendy’s. Did you know that Wendy’s was the first restaurant to bring the salad bar to quick service customers more than 30 years ago?
BBQ Ranch Chicken Salad.
This was my choice and boy, am I glad that I chose this one. It’s pretty much your traditional BBQ chicken in a bowl! You’ll find fire roasted corn, freshly diced tomatoes, delicious sharp cheddar cheese, crispy applewood smoked bacon and a savory BBQ sauce. Topped with a creamy BBQ Ranch dressing, made with real buttermilk, parmesan cheese, ancho chili peppers, honey and brown sugar.
The dressing and all the toppings made this one of the best salads I’ve had, Wendy’s is really tapping into popular culinary trends and have really hit a home-run.
Asian Cashew Chicken.
My sister chose this delicious Asian concoction. It’s spicy and has fire roasted edamame (her favorite), fresh red peppers, cucumbers and a lettuce blend with 11 different kinds of greens. Sitting at 370 calories, you have immense taste that is nutritious and low-calorie. All topped with a light Asian Chili Vinaigrette dressing that makes it zing!
Dig In!
Wendy’s 3 new salads are 50% lower in fat grams, 29% lower in sodium, and 61% lower in saturated fat. With that said, you can really dig in and enjoy! They are flavourful and vibrant in colour and are packed with premium ingredients like Cashews and edamame–ingredients that you wouldn’t expect to find in salad at quick service restaurants.
Made to Order.
Every Wendy’s location has a salad spinner because they wash and hand-chop heads of romaine and iceberg every day and mix it with a triple-washed leafy spring mix made with 9 different greens. It really doesn’t get any better than that, don’t you think?
