That is everyone’s goal when it comes to making memories. That is what we strive for every single time we decorate that Christmas tree. Every time we discover new and far off places together, every time we reach milestones, and successes. Even when we are in our very own backyard making new discoveries and playing make-believe.
We want to make those memories last.
If you’re like me, you take thousands upon thousands of photos and you promise yourself that you are going to scrapbook and make books that you will keep forever. But, life gets in the way and you aren’t able to create meaningful keepsakes of the memories you’ve made as a family. Personally, I’ve made two very large scrapbooks but, I am much of a perfectionist and it takes me quite a long time to make them into what I want them to be. So, I never get around to scrapbooking as much as I’d like to.
Well, Elephoto never wants you to forget either.
As many of you know that Elephoto is one of my sponsors and I have personally gotten to know CJ who leads their social media team, they are truly a brand that I stand behind and that I am proud to share with you guys. They are Canadian and REAL people behind their company who want to help you capture and share your memories.
Well, last week there was a knock on my door briefly and I went to see who it was, the UPS truck was starting to drive off and had left my package at my door. He waved and I leaned down and saw that it was from Elephoto. I began to open the package (while I texted Kat excitedly that my Elephoto was here) and I see the bright Elephoto pink and inside it read “Something Big Is Inside”.
Boy, were they ever right!
After anxiously finished opening it and immediately saw my Greeting Cards and Photo Book.
I was BLOWN AWAY.
Sigh, I can’t even express it in words but, because I love you guys, I’ll try. Opening the greeting cards, I was elated. They were exactly how I designed them and exactly what I wanted them to be. These are my first REAL family Christmas cards and they are exceptional, personalized and quality. Now, the photo book is actually what kind of set me over the edge and sent me for a trip on the emotional train.
I opened it and the front cover is of my husband and my two girls sharing a candid moment of magic at Disney. It’s titled “Polanco-Chansavang Disney Vacation” and the spine of the book reads “Our Disney Vacation 2011”. As I began to carefully examine each page, my eyes started welling up with tears. There was a feeling in my chest that I can’t explain.
Seeing the pictures, the smiles and the unforgettable moments on print and in a neatly and symmetrically designed book just made me emotional. I had ended the book with a picture of our little family in front of our resort and a message to our girls.
I guess what made me emotional was that I now have a physical book that can be stored and picked up to be taken back to that time in our lives whenever we wanted.
To reflect on even when our memories begin to fade.
And with care, I know that my girls will be able to do that when I am long gone.
Well, I am telling you that I am going to continue to make more Elephoto photo books. I am finally going to sift through my thousands of pictures and make the keepsakes that I have so long wanted to make. I made this photo book in particular in a few hours. With Elephoto launching their new system and perhaps my browser, I experienced a few bumps in the road.
But, nothing that wasn’t remedied by hitting “refresh”.
They had so many styles and templates to work with. It was incredibly easy to use and you could mix-match templates as well. So, if you wanted to use a page from one theme and then another page from another, you could. One thing I’d love to see is an “Undo” button. Regardless, I made this 28-page living, emotion-provoking keepsake in a fraction of what it had taken me to scrapbook a real book.
All while still making it with all my love and attention to detail. I know my kids will one day appreciate. The fraction of the time and fraction of the price, I usually spend about $40 alone printing my own pictures and that doesn’t even account towards the scrapbook itself and the decorations needed.
So, this is well worth it!
Not to mention that both my photo book and greeting cards are printed on premium paper and with a glossy finish. My Hubs is in the printing trade and he said that this is truly quality work.
I obviously, COMPLETELY agree.
The greeting cards were even easier to make and Elephoto had plenty of designs to choose from. I played around with them, added my pictures and art and I was done in less than an hour. Completely personalized and ready to go! I’m so happy with these cards and some of you will be getting them via snail mail soon!
Do you ever print out your pictures?
Let me know, til then–cheers m’deres!
