Swim Like a Fish
Let’s go swimming!
I opted to put Gabriella into swim and dance in lieu of competitive soccer this year.
I had less than stellar communication with the coach and it when it came down to registering, it was a nightmare.
Regardless, I kind of felt guilty because I know she wanted to do it but, I said there’s always next year and another team.
So, I’m glad I made this decision.
Because she absolutely loved her first lesson, her dance lesson is this week too and she’s looking forward to it.
How do you keep the kids moving during the winter?
I’m linking up for Wordless/Wordful Wednesday over at Sober Julie, Shasher’s Life, Mom Vs. The Boys and Tara’s View. Pay them a little visit!
Til then, cheers m’deres!

my kids all love swimming 🙂
That's awesome! 🙂
Mine love swimming as well, we have a pool and they're horrible in lessons because they want to do their own thing
LOL. Well, as long as they are having fun! It's a good thing to want to do your own thing. 🙂
My girls have their bowling league! 🙂
Wow, that sounds like so much fun. My little girl is really good at bowling. Don't know of any leagues down this way.
We've been doing swimming as well, but it is finished this Saturday. Luckily, my kids love to play outdoors during the winter and so do the neighbourhood kids.
My kiddo loves the outdoors too, when it's nice enough she's out there playing in the snow.
My girls take swimming lessons too! They love it!
Swimming is so healthy too, I love how kids just adore it.
Swim and Dance Lessons too!
As much as I hate swim lessons in the winter, I don't mind it so much now that I don't have to get wet 😉 Well…except when helping them in the shower afterwards LOL.
LOL, soooooo agree. 🙂
that looks like a big pool! our oldest is in skating lessons once a week this year, he also does swimming lessons in March-April then the good weather is back
I need to get her into skating, she's terrified of it but, wants to learn. Any tips?
My Little One is only 3, so we have her in swimming in the winter. She is also active outdoors on our farm year-round. In the summer, it's swimming at the beach every day. I know, poor us, eh? We live in a place where there are stunning beaches in every direction from us! She also has horseback riding in the warmer months and she will be going into ballet in the fall.
3 is the perfect age to get started. Make sure you take lots of pics because those years fly by so quickly. Can't wait to see them.
Swimming is great for the whole family. We are starting it this year. Right now we have dance parties in our apartment Rec Room, and go outside when it's not too cold. I'm used to working in daycare/ school where we are required to go outside unless its -15 celcius 🙂
Yes, the Wii gets lots of use during the winter and she is in hip-hop classes. I gotta get the littlest in swimming too.
I want to sign the kids up for swimming too. Usually we go for long walks, play outside, they help shovel. Inside well we are loving Dance revolution! lol
