Aveeno Baby.

Bath time is absolutely a special time for the girls and I. From the very first bath after taking them home from the hospital to splashing with toys in the tub today.

It has always been a bonding experience for me, I can remember supporting each of their precious little heads with my hand while washing their perfect skin. They are serene and beautiful memories that I hold dear in my heart forever.

Nowadays, it’s full of laughter, toys, singing and giggle fests and we definitely look forward to baths in this home. With that said, I want the absolute best for my children’s skin. Both girls are very different, Gabby prefers showers to baths while Mimi has always enjoyed her baths. We keep the same routine for both but, the time always changes.

Dry Skin?
No problem.

That is, no problem anymore. Mimi has perfect, soft and tender “baby skin” but lately, she’s been getting really dry patches on her skin. Sometimes they are red and sometimes they aren’t visible to the eye and only noticeable to touch. I think it is safe to say that I’ve tried everything to soothe her skin and get the hydration back into her skin. From every lotion to even organic concoctions and I haven’t had any luck.

Aveeno Baby Wash and Shampoo:

The Aveeno Baby Wash and Shampoo is a natural oat formula blended into a rich lathering, tear-free cleanser. This unique oat-based formula cleanses without drying and can be used on skin and hair for gentle cleansing with a soft, fresh fragrance. This soap-free, hypoallergenic formula is gentle enough for newborns and babies with sensitive skin

Aveeno Baby Lotion:

Aveeno Baby Daily Baby Lotion contains natural colloidal oatmeal, dimethicone and allantoin to help soothe and protect baby’s skin. The fast-absorbing, non-greasy formula moisturizes for 24 hours. The formula contains no dyes, is non-comedogenic and fragrance-free.

Made for Delicate Skin.

I’ve tried both of the Aveeno Baby products and I can sincerely say that it has worked on Mimi’s skin. She tends to get those “dry patches” on her tummy and arms and I have seen them subside for the FIRST time. I think it is the colloidal oatmeal that has worked its wonders on her skin but, I am going to continue to use them both.

When I look for products to use on both of my girls’ I look to see if they are gentle on delicate skin, the ingredients and that it is a trusted brand and Pediatrician-approved. A scent is always a bonus but effectiveness and safety trumps a scent any day. Aveeno has no scent but, it isn’t unpleasant at all.

Soak It Up.

The lotion works amazingly well, I can feel it on my own hands when I apply it to Mimi’s skin. It immediately soaks in and hydrates the skin immediately. It leaves the skin smelling fresh, clean and you can feel the soft, supple skin once the lotion is absorbed. And shhh, I even tried it on my face that gets really dry and it makes my skin feel amazing.

If you want to learn more and try out Aveeno Baby for yourself, you can get a $1.00 off coupon to give it a go!

We think taking care of our skin is absolutely essential, after all, it is the largest organ of our bodies. For me, I rest easy knowing that Aveeno Baby products are helping my kids’ skin and eliminating dryness the more we use it.

What are some of your fondest bath memories with your children?

Let me know, til then–cheers m’deres!

  5. I love all the Aveeno products. I have occasional eczema flareups in the wintertime when the air is dry and when that happens, Aveeno is the only product I can use. Little ones are so prone to skin rashes that I'm glad there is an Aveeno product line designed specifically for them. The added bonus of Aveeno for babies is that you get to rub it on your skin during the application. So it's win-win. 😀
