Official NEW Aladdin Teaser Trailer from Disney is Here

Disney’s Aladdin is one of my favourite movies of all time. In fact, it was THE first movie I ever saw in theatres. My Dad was out of the country and we were all missing him. My Mom decided to surprise us kids with a night out at the movies. For us, it was very rare and I understand why, so this was a treat. My mom handed me a bag of popcorn and a huge soda with a giant Genie head I drank out of. Suffice to say, it was amazing. So, now, let’s get to the NEW Aladdin Teaser Trailer!

After all, that’s why you’ve come here, diamond in the rough…

I am so excited to share this with you guys. If you haven’t heard, Disney is releasing a live-action film and this is the first look at it!

Synopsis:

ALADDIN is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future. Directed by Guy Ritchie, who brings his singular flair for fast-paced, visceral action to the fictitious port city of Agrabah, the film is written by John August and Ritchie based on Disney’s ALADDIN.

ALADDIN stars Will Smith as the larger-than-life Genie; Mena Massoud as the charming scoundrel Aladdin; Naomi Scott as Jasmine, the beautiful, self-determined princess; Marwan Kenzari as Jafar, the powerful sorcerer; Navid Negahban as the Sultan concerned with his daughter’s future; Nasim Pedrad as Dalia, Princess Jasmine’s free-spirited best friend and confidante; Billy Magnussen as the handsome and arrogant suitor Prince Anders; and Numan Acar as Hakim, Jafar’s right-hand man and captain of the palace guards.

There’s more!

The film is produced by Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich with Marc Platt and Kevin De La Noy serving as executive producers. Alan Menken provides the score, which includes new recordings of the original songs written by Menken and lyricists Howard Ashman and Tim Rice and two new songs written by Menken and songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. The film, which was shot on practical stages in London and on location amidst the stunning desert vistas of Jordan, has a talented creative team helping to bring Agrabah to life, including director of photography Alan Stewart, production designer Gemma Jackson and costume designer Michael Wilkinson.

One thing is for sure, I am STOKED to see this. So, keep an eye out for it. ALADDIN releases in theatres everywhere on May 24, 2019!

The more and more I see trailers for this movie, the more I want to watch it. I am really excited to see how Will Smith will play the Genie. It’s quite the shoes to fill and I can only imagine he will be funny. Perhaps not as animated as Robin Williams but, he really was a legend.

Other than that, I am excited to see the live action. It is one of my childhood treasures! So, I’m sure that millions along with me are just as excited.

I wonder if they will eventually do more with these characters at Disney World.

Will you be watching Aladdin?

Let me know, til then–cheers m’deres!
