This has been a very trying week but, with lots of help, I’ve been able to slow down, take it easy and begin my road to recovery. My girls are such a large part of that, seeing them together brings tears to my eyes. I think that it just kinda hit me now, that though I am home resting right now–the reality of the severity of this diagnosis. The idea of not being here to see these girls flourish is heartbreaking.

Alas, I am here and enjoying them to the fullest because being positive is the only choice I have.

Here they are playing at Gabriella’s favorite park, we call it Gabby’s Garden. She’s been enjoying the beauty of this place since birth. Later in the week, it was off to school for Gabby.

Grade 2!

Can you believe it?

It was a cold and gloomy day for Back to School. Every year the good-bye gets shorter and shorter and Gabs is much more excited to go every year. I really hope that excitement doesn’t dwindle. It is something that will always be bittersweet for me.

Mimi, let loose and got into everything while her big sis was at school. This child doesn’t like shoes, socks and now even her clothes! LOL. No matter where she goes, she slowly starts losing articles and ends up like this!

I hope you all had a great day back, how are you enjoying being kid-free for most of the day? I’m enjoying being with my Meems but, I do miss my Gabs. Then again, I’m just a big suck!

How did you handle back to school?

Let me know, til then–cheers m’deres!

  1. They are too beautiful for words! I understand what you mean; I love hanging with Hadley, but I miss the big girls when they're @ school.

    1. Thanks MH, your girls are gorgeous too. Definitely, they we moms walk around with our pieces of our heart outside of our bodies. But, it's great for them and for us to become their own independent little people. 😀

    1. Thanks m'dere! And I'm pretty sure you've guessed right, that place is unmistakable if you are local! Hehe, my little "G"baby, I love those diapers, they are hybrids! And thank-you, I'm just starting in the photography department. 😀
